Testing on Steptember 1st

I feel as if I have an extended family here at ALL Nurses. I am so nervous about taking the exam. I have taken Kaplan and answered questions from La Charity and Exam Cram. I used the ATI review book for content. I also brought an application for my Iphone to answer questions while traveling to and from work. I dont want to overwelhm myself but I just cant help it. I dont know what else to do. I am starting to have nightmares while I sleep. I wake up in the middle of the night to answer questions on my phone just to go back to sleep. Its driving me crazy. 'm starting to have distrubed thought patterns. I need help. Am I alone

HI

WORRY WILL NOT SOLVE ANY THING IT WILL MAKE THINGS MORE COMPLICATED, extend the dates (if u can),believe yourself and ready to undergo hardship for the sake of your desired goal, believe ,you can do it ,concentrate and study hard victory will be yours.

Ditto what the previous poster said. This is only the beginning of your challenges throughout your career and your life. Don't let this test consume you because that's not what it's meant to do. It's meant to test your skills, not to cause worry and doubt to the unsuspecting nursing graduate.

Seeing as how you have a little less than two weeks to study, do just that. Review only a certain amount of questions per day, say, 45-50 questions. Then STOP. No need to answer questions for 5-6 hours and afterward, you forgot what you were even looking at!

Take it one day at a time and know that you too can achieve this, just like you're going to overcome the countless other obstacles that will come your way.

Good Luck & Happy Studying!!! ^_^

Thanks for the advise. I will start to look at things a bit differently now.

Getting yourself into a tizzy will not help you to pass, it will only affect your health. This is a good reason to learn and practice relaxation skills. Take the time, you will find them useful the day of the test.

I take boards on Aug.25th and I am nervous as heck!!! The comments on here helped me to calm down and just go in with a positive mind. I've been told not to overwhelm myself because I have been studying for 5 hrs at a time and its not good. I have just stuck to answering questions because I'm less than a week away from the BIG DAY!!! I am more excited than nervous now!!!
