I was just wondering...Do you get to use a calculator when you take the TEAS test?

Yes. They offered a standard calculator, but I brought mine because I knew exactly how to use my calculator. You can not bring a programmable one though - (a graphing calculator).

When I took my TEAS exam (my school , NVCC, has now switched to HESI) you had to use the calculator provided. Best of luck

I would be interested to know what the answer to this is. I posted this same question elsewhere, and was told that you cannot use a calculator. Maybe one of us could contact ATI and ask?

I just went on the ATI website under FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) and it clearly states no calculators are allowed during the TEAS. http://www.atitesting.com/global/students/teas-faq.aspx. I had the same question. I wonder if the rules are different depending on where you take your test. Hope this helps.:wink2:

My school does not allow a calculator for the TEAS. Have any of you taken the online version of the TEAS? My school does not have the paper option. I'm concerned about taking the test on the computer rather than paper... Heck, I'm just nervous!

Hello,
Was wondering if anyone has taken the teas test lately?? I'm taking the test the end of March and was wondering how much / long I should study. How hard is the test. What to expect, etc. Really nervous about this test because if you don't pass it, the school will not let you in.

I took the TEAS today and got my results back..only 78.2%,, i had 92.1% on reading
81.2% on english
75.4% on math
and a terrible score of 56% on science,, which i was very upset about! i found the science to be the hardest section! I did really well in my science classes tho, I came out with an A in both A&P 1 and A&P 2 and an B in Micro,,ughhh it was so frustrating to get my results,,I applied to macon state college and im wondering how anyone else did..Im keeping my fingers crossed and my faith in god,,thats all i can do;)

Don't feel bad. This test is geared towards highschool classes. If you did well in these highschool areas then you should do well on the test. It is kinda hard to study for highschool science when you are no longer in and have been out for some time.

I am taking the TEAS on April 18 and have been told NO calculators will be allowed to be taken into the test, nor will they give you one.
Only a pencil and scrap paper! Study, study, study!! And practice WITHOUT a calculator so you will be more prepared during the actual test!
