Teas with no a&p 1or 2

Has anyone taken and passed the Teas without taking any science prerequisites? If so, what was your study methods and materials? Thank you.

IMO - Not happening - just that simple.

If you want to try you would have to digest the manual then look up every single topic and read in detail - and watch every Khan Academy Vid possible. There is no replacement for taking the courses themselves.

I can't tell you how many people I met with a "4.0" in perquisites bomb the science portion of the test...

Thank you. I bought the ATI manual and the science is horrible. I am scheduled to take it May 8. I am going to look up Khan Academy. Appreciate your feedback.

Thank you.

I took the TEAS with no previous sciences and passed with an 82, so it is possible. And I haven't been in school for a very long time! I used several manuals, but I found the official TEAS book to be the most helpful, especially because it gives you practice tests in the back of the book. I also agree with Kahn academy online and youtube has some great videos on lots of subjects. Some of the youtube videos helped me understand the material better than anything else. Just study as much as you possibly can between now and your test. Best of luck!

Not true at all.

I scored an 82% and Advanced on my TEAS and my last science course was in 2010 in high school.

I did have a college Anatomy I class the semester before I took the TEAS, but there are only 5 Anatomy questions (both APHY I and II) on the entire TEAS, so realistically, that didn't really effect much.

I will agree that the science portion of the ATI book isn't the greatest, but you definitely do not have to have science pre-requisites completed in order to have a good score on the TEAS.

Honestly, if you use the ATI book you will do fine. The exam is exactly like the ATI book.

Thank you so much for responding? How long did you have to study?

Honestly, because I hadn't taken science in a while I took about 2 months to study because I knew I needed to relearn a lot of stuff.

Something that is super helpful is THIS ARTICLE. It was written by someone on this site and it shows everything that you need to know for the TEAS. Keep in mind, not everything on the list is on the test, but everything I had on my test was on this list.

I just went through the list and highlighted everything from the list in the book and focused on those areas so I wasn't studying things I didn't need to know.

I scored a 75 in the science portion, and an 85% on the whole test. I hadn't taken A and P and my last science class was biology 6 years ago. I studied for about 2 months.

The best thing you can do for the TEAS is buy a TEAS study book, read through as much as you can and take the practice questions in the back of the book. That's what I did, and it was very helpful. Scored in the 80s.
