stupid question

Published

Im in the state of TEXAS....

In the last semester of nursing school we students had to pay a initial licensure application fee and a background check fee....which totaled $350 (two separate checks ...$200 to BNE and $150 for background check). My question is ...

Is the initial licensure application fee the same as the $200 fee to take the NCLEX through the pearsonvue???

Reason I ask is because, when I recieved my ATT letter, I registered online to take the NCLEX and its sayin that there is a $200 fee.

go to the source. email the NCLEX or call them and ask.

state licensure is separate from nclex fee

so two different fee

I graduated this month, and I paid $200 to Pearson VUE adnd $ 139 to the Texas BNE.

When I received my ATT for Pearson VUE, I logged into my Pearson VUE account and it said a $200 fee, but nothing was due.

If you received your ATT, that means that all necessary fees have been paid. They do not release the ATT before all fees are paid.

I would contact the TX BNE and Pearson VUE for verification.

Hope this helps.
