I take the Nclex-RN exam Jan. 30th. I graduated in Dec. and I havent reviewed since because I was waiting for my authorization to test. I got it two days ago and I need to start ASAP. Any advice on reviewing in such a short period of time? Help please and thank you for your suggestions ahead of time.

Cramming isn't the answer so would suggest just practice as many questions as you can and understand the rationale to them

Don't cram. Look at the validity period of your ATT and reschedule your examination if you feel you are not ready yet.
I am going to take my NCLEX on February. I received my ATT last December and will expire on March. As of now, I am still not confident enough to take the exam but I make sure I make 100 q's per day, I read Saunders, Prioritization by LaCharity, and Kaplan.
Goodluck to all of us. Future RN's.

I too graduated in Dec and I havent even heard from my state BON yet, so I was wondering how were you able to schedule your test date without your ATT. I have been review since late NOV eary DEC for my ATI exit exam and I took about a week off for the new year and got right back on the horse and I plan on taking my exam early March. You shouldnt rush just because you recieved your ATT, you can move your date especially if you dont feel ready, I believe you have three months from when you recieve it.
Congrats on completing nursing school and Good luck on your Nclex

I am sort of in the same boat. I am scheduled to test on Jan. 29 and I graduated in December. My plan has been to review using Saunder's, NCLEX for Dummies, and a book on prioritizing and delegating. But, I am procrastinating and haven't studied much since graduation. I think partly because of the 85% national first-time pass rate and my nursing program has a 98% first-time pass rate. I guess I am hoping that I am going to be in that percentage. But then I read all the posts on this site about not passing and retaking over and over again - I get worried and panic. Which makes me procrastinate more! Ten days left to buckle down and study. Good luck to you!
I didn't study in between 1. Procrastinator by nature 2. I just never thought about finding time to fit in studying 3. I work a full time job as a Certified Medical Assistant at a Pediatric Office 4. I've been focusing on getting things done for my new job as a RN starting Feb. 2 5. I really really wanted a break! Too much of one now it seems. Med/Surg Im pretty good in. Pharm is my weakness and Mother/Baby.

I had to wait for my ATT. When I received it I made my appt. right away bc I start my new job orientation Feb. 2. So I feel like I really cant' put the exam off any more then I already have.

You are going to have to decide whether you can get ready in the amount of time left or whether you will need to reschedule. I don't need to tell anyone who has a new job waiting on the results that it will be a lot better to make every effort to pass. So stop procrastinating. Even if you are procrastinating about rescheduling. Get going. And good luck.
