Stony Brook Basic BSN Fall 2012

Hello everyone!

I applied to Stony Brook's Basic (2-year) BSN program 3 weeks a go and thought it may be helpful to start up a forum.

If you are:

currently applying or plan on applying, a former applicant, a current SBU student, I'd love to hear from you!

Has everyone finished their perquisites? Does anyone else have a not so competitive GPA (like me)? Does anyone know who is considered a competitive applicant? Where is everyone else applying?

I look forward to speaking with everyone and hopefully entering the Fall '12 class together!

Ughhhhh lol u can't deal with this..everyone better post as soon as they hear something lol!

Hi there fellow SB applicants,

I am brand new to allnurses, and I just had to post here because I'm feeling your pain...still no e-mail for the fall basic program! I told a friend yesterday that if someone wants to torture me, this is the best way to do it :(

I also applied to Suffolk Ammerman day and night. Does anyone know off hand if they have a spring admission (just in case)? I already have a BFA, but I'm learning that stellar grades/degree/volunteer experience doesn't guarantee acceptance.

Did anyone applied to Binghamton University?

  • Author

@Alvins Yes, I did. Two days ago, I was notified via email that I had been denied. Did you apply there also?

That sucks. Yea, I applied but I was placed on their waiting list.

Hey guys :)

im waiting on acceptance for the 2 yr and to see if i get taken as an alternate for the 1 yr, but if all else fails i plan to apply to Binghampton for next year. Is it just as hard at SB to get into? I was hoping since it is upstate and not near the city it wouldnt be AS competitive. Wishful thinking?

Can it really be this hard :(

It is very hard to get in anywhere.. That is the reason why I have also applied to a private college..

hopefully we know next week, I'm seriously loosing my mind!

I hear ya paws! Well stop going crazy for the weekend bc its not comming and get ur butt over my house to study for our bio exam!!! 7 chapters funnnn

Good luck on your exam.

Just an FYI everyone I heard we will not be hearing back decisions until the end of April. I heard there were 300 qualified applicants and 60 accepted, the suspense is worse than survivor, who's getting voted off the island! Good luck everyone
