Anyone else taking statistics this semester? Classes started today and I'm already feeling overwhelmed!

I'm sure you did fine :) I'm trying to study for my A&P II lab final, which is on Thursday. Then I'll start studying for my two Govt tests, which are on Sat. Then I'll start studying for my A&P II lecture final, which is on Sunday. Then!! I'll start studying for my statistics test, which is on Tuesday. Heh. A week from now, and it will all be over. Whew!

Wow, goodluck!

I have my A&P1 final tonight but I haven't really been in the mood to study. Blah.

Thanks :D It's been rough, especially taking two different govt classes at the same time. But, it's doable :) Best of luck to you!

I wish you all good luck on the statistics finals. Mine is tomorrow, but it's not cumulative, thank goodness. It's on hypothesis testing, correlation and regression. I keep thinking, "Only one more day." However, I do have to admit that I have found statistics easier than algebra.

Did anybody take stats online? I signed up in August but dropped it (before the class even started) because I received a e-mail pretest...which I failed miserably LOL! But I'm enrolled again for spring '07 b/c I have to get it finished or I can't start my BSN program in June (if I get accepted).

I took Stats online this semester, and I took Algebra online last Spring. I *loved* my Algebra class online, and got a lot out of it. The teacher used the technology resources, and it really helped me learn. However, my statistics teacher didn't take advantage of anything. Everything was just plain text files through email. It's a hard way to learn things. I know there are statistics classes out there that do use resources, so just ask around about the online classes at your school.

Good luck!

I just got my grades for the fall semester. I "earned" an A for Sadistics. I still have no idea how I earned that grade. After suffering through that class....I still know nothing about statistics...lol.

hi...i took stat this semester...which is my first semester in college and it was ok...but i professor was terrible...he was constantly confused..and taught nothing...i could only teach myself math up to a certain extent...and i dont think i did that well in this class...im afraid the grade will jepordize my getting in the nursing program where u are suppose to get A's and B's not a C+...do they take it into consideration that i was a freshman...

If you have time, some colleges let you take classes over, and they will set the origional grade to Null. Its a good option I think, you learn so much more the second time.

I found statistics to be very interesting. It can be used to prove or disprove any point depending on how creative the user is. By knowing statistics you can tell if somebody is being completely honest with their numbers. Just a thought.

Congrats on teaching yourself though, you have to be proud of that even if you did earn a C+.

I'm scared about this course. I hear it's really hard. I don't think this semester it will be too hard for me. I just need to study (which i'm getting better at). Do we need a graphing calculator?
