Starting to give up.. :-(

Nursing Students LPN/LVN Students

Hello all.. This is my first post here at AN but I have been reading everything here for the last year and a half. I have 11 weeks left in my LPN program and I'm starting to lose steam, I'm ready to give up. :-( It's been a rough year, I have almost made it to the finish line, but I can't seem to see the light.

I think I just need some good, kind words that I'm not getting from anywhere else.

Thanks :-)

[color=#2f4f4f]i can imagine you're having a major nursing school burn out right now, but if you can set aside how long 11 weeks seems to be, take a deep breath, and remember that you have came this far for your future career and that it will be over in less than a semester and you'll be walking across that stage for the diploma that you worked so hard for, even when you felt like giving up more than anything! that's when you'll look back and see the beauty of having the drive to keep truckin' along even when you feel you just want to quit and be done with it all! you only have 11 more weeks left for a reason. :) you knocked out the others, so just take it one day at a time and it will all be through before you know it and you'll be anxious to go take your state boards and get your license! you've got this. good luck and i think i speak for us all here on an when i say you can do this!!!

Stay focused and it will def pay off in the end. Everybody that tackles through nursing school knows the stress and crap your going through. You aren't the only one! But most importantly.. Pray :)

YOU HAVE TO STAY FOCUSED.....you've come to far to give up. YOU CAN DO THIS!!!!

Welcome to allnurses and . . .Don't give up! I swear sometimes the only thing that kept me going was the fact that I would have to pay off my loans either way! It's a slow trudge at times. You could be hitting the "wall" runners talk about. Focus and don't let others sap your energy or make demands that aren't absolutely necessary. Passing the finish line is sweet. Best wishes!

Everybody is right, you've made this far down the road, keep going and don't stop!!!!!!!

Treat yourself to a little vacay as your reward, remember what brought to the program and what you will create once you have your license!

Good luck and keep on going!!!!

Put blinders on. Don't think about having 11 weeks left. Take everything one week at a time that way you don't feel so overwhelmed. It works well for me. If I step back and look at the big picture too long it makes me anxious.

You can do this! You're almost there and you'll feel so much better very soon when it's over.

Try to think of it as 11 Fridays left instead of 11 weeks. It just sounds like less time. That's how I do it. Good luck, and I know it seems hard right now, but you will feel so good when it's all said and done.

I broke it down to 11 more mondays I have to get up and then 9 more and then single digits as wel go...... I just finished my program this afternoon and I can for one tell you the end is closer than you know. Just keep your head up high , keep that focus and fend off senioritis as long as possible!

Sorry for the late reply, it's been crazy for me. Thank you all for your great words!!! I am trying really hard to stay postive & keep going. Mental Health was kicking my butt! lol Thank God I just finished it & passed. I am starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel.

Thanks again!! :yeah:
