Spring 2015 MANE programs

It's about time to start applying to the spring 2015 MANE programs. I'm sure I'm not the only one here who is applying. I thought it would be nice to have a place where we could come together and chat about our scores, the application process, and the anguish of waiting for our acceptance letters.

I'm planning on applying to Century and Inver Hills. I would prefer Century, just because it's right down the street from my house.

Anyone else applying for spring?

century vs. ihcc... anyone have any positive or negative things to say about either program? it might make my decision easier to hear from others....

Just got my acceptance letter from Normandale!!!! Now I have to decide between Ridgewater and Normandale.

Congratulations xlogit3k!

Congrats Haybah!! That's so exciting! :) I haven't received a letter from NCC yet either.. But I also haven't received an email from them.. How did you find out that you were accepted at NCC??

It's supposed to be a secret. I went to Normandale in person and got the information. If you decide on going, don't say that you heard this from someone else.

I would suggest that you just wait until tomorrow. Knowing that one person got his/her letter just now means that we would get it tomorrow. My mail comes at 9:00 am, so I won't get it today as xlogit3k did.

Okay I won't say anything! I will probably get my letter in the mail tomorrow as well then! Thank you for the information :)

Congrats on getting accepted into TWO programs! That's really exciting!!

IHCC is smaller and has a really good reputation amongst the Allina Network. Not to mention I got accepted to IHCC and will be looking for a study group. LOL I would also consider geography of living, commuting and potential employers.

What have you heard about North Hennepin CC's program? I'm debating between Inver and North Hennepin.

Each program has its own unique characteristics. NHCC is rather large and lower TEAS/GPA combination.(Fall Class 2014). NHCC's major problem is the number of nursing programs offered at other Community Colleges in the area. For me IHCC has been a fit for me that may not be true for others.

That's a good point about Allina. IHCC is only about 50 students, so it will be a pretty tight-knit group.

I just got my letter from Inver Hills. I am #7 on the wait list. So... I don't know where that gets me. It's hard to imagine that seven people will decline their spot, but who knows?

There was another user on here who got a call they got into Century (I think). They weren't even on the wait list. Century went through their wait list and still had open spots left.

I think you've srill got a shot. I got into NHCC but applied to IHCC as well..strange I haven't recieved anything from them yet.

I was accepted at Inver Hills with a 11.53 combined total. I think you have a great chance elsterling27 of still getting in being #7 on the waiting list. There are alot of people who apply to multiple schools, and even on here there are atleast a few that applied to Inver as a second choice. What was your combined score if you don't mind me asking, just curious.
