So many resources to study??!! Which one?

My home office is filled with so many NCLEX resource study that I don't where to start again! I quit my job yesterday just to focus on this exam to take before May. My resources are as follows: Lacharity, Kaplan books/trainers, Learning extension, Mark Klimek audio, Helen Feuer, UWorld and many other study guides.. My problem I believe is learning the strategies. This will be my 4th attempt in trying to pass the Nclex.

Please help me decide on what I should focus on!!

This is what I suggest. Do not use too many sources. I have found that when I did that. It only confused me because sometimes sources can contradict each other. For example, as far as putting PPE on and taking them off the correct way. I had to look them up on the CDC website because different sources said different things. I would pick one source for major content, LaCharity, and UWorld UWORLD UWORLD. I feel that this helped me more than anything. You will pass. Stay positive. Good vibes sent your way !! :D

What are your weak areas??

The issue may not necessarily the source of the review, but how one approaches the NCLEX itself: understanding the four concepts of becoming a competent, entry-level nurse:

1. Safe, effective care;

2.Health promotion;

3.Physiological Integrity;

4.Psychosocial integrity

Will determine WHAT the question is asking you; the question may be Respiratory related-but is it a Health Promotion or a Safety, or a Physiological or a Psychosocial one? Would you know the difference and choose the BEST answer?

Once one understands the concepts of NCLEX, they can do so successfully.

Don't look at content; you know most of the material because you passed nursing school; begin to do questions related to each concept; review all questions and rationales; ANY rationale you struggle with, THEN review content. Lather, rinse, repeat.

When practicing the questions, prepare the questions like a mock NCLEX exam, review the minimum and then work up to the maximum for endurance purposes.

Mark K. gives great tricks and lil things to remember along with Uworld you should do fine....I have Kaplan as well but the rationales are not as good as Uworld.

1st have your content locked down. Use any source to review Patho.

2nd practice questions and read rationales - uworld 75-150 ?'s a day

3rd pda by la charity do priority questions and learn to delegate

4th kill it on the nclex, good luck!
