First let me say I love my job. I have been a School Nurse for less than a year and I am thrilled but this has been an exhausting week and it has almost nothing to do with Nursing. My To Do List of paperwork is getting longer each day instead of shorter and being new to School Nursing and in a district with only me in it it has just been overwhelming this week. The good thing is I am doing things that will make my job easier in the future and I'm learning things I never knew. Did my 1st 2 IHPs this week, sat in on CSE yearly reviews and was asked for input, set up a school allergen policy for after school activites and outside groups that come in, investigated a science project in regards to allergies, learned how to use our vision screener, created a file for a sub if I have one and set up kindergarten screenings and more. I'm wiped. LOL! I am looking forward to this weekend for sure!

Very much a TGIF week! Y'all are doing great...it is hard being new. I started as a school nurse in the middle of a school year and it was utter chaos. Took quite a while to feel like I was starting to get a solid toe-hold on things! Hang in there, the countdown to summer is on!
