It's always amazed me that with billions of people in the world, bad luck isn't more evenly spread around. It just finds certain people, places, and times and clusters there. I feel you couldn't have posted what you did if you didn't have a good desire to rise above it all. Granted there are places that just wont consider you, but don't give up. Here's hoping you find someone who'll give you a chance to make a living along with a better life. Good luck brother.

This may be true (I'll take your word that it is), so first off, Congrats for 10 yrs soberiety! But you sound very depressed, with good reason. Life is not about just waiting out your time here. There are so many ways you could still be of service. Have you considered helping out others? Your story would certianly help others who are faced with similar situations. You can volunteer with teens & young adults, they need the guidence your experience can offer. But, please, get some help for your depression, the strength your showing just posting here would be a great loss to all of us if you were to just give up. Good Luck!
Thank you, seriously. Rick
