Simplenursing.com?

Hi.

I am starting my nursing classes in about a month (ah!) and was wondering if anyone has used simplenursing to help them.

I've seen some posts from a few years ago on here. Some were good, some were not.

I just want to know if its worth the time (and money) to purchase the subscription.

I used the free videos while doing my prerequisites and found them helpful but who's how it will be for nursing courses.

If not, please suggest any other sites that could help. I know C's get degrees but I still wanna aim for those A's lol

Thanks!

It's amazing! I can't recommend it more. I got a 67 on my first exam and a 68 on my second. Then, I subscribed to simple nursing and got an 86 on my next two exams! Saved me so much tbh. Watch his videos and print out his study guides the day before lecture.

That's great! Was it terribly expensive?

She has her own website and youtube channel with a ton of videos. She is very nice and explains concepts in an easy to follow format. And, her services are completely free!

I just checked it out. It looks so helpful! Thanks so much!

Nrsng.com I heard was another good one. I'd also heard that simplenursing does have some mistakes in his videos, but I'm unsure of that since I'm still just a student myself.

These extra resources aren't bad, but I'm not sure if I'd pay for anything other than uWorld really, and that won't be until closer to the time I take the NCLEX. RegisteredNurseRN has some amazing stuff, I think KhanAcademy has expanded their nursing stuff too - all completely free. Nurse Mendoza has some good stuff too. You can find some really awesome resources online without having to break the bank. :)

NRSNG has the cheat sheets on an app for around $10. You also receive updates to it if any are available. Invaluable tool right in your pocket.

Registerednursern.com is great. You can also print the transcripts of her videos to use to study. I found the transcripts for fluid and electrolytes to be a helpful reference. Don't purchase a ton of stuff until you see what the program is like and what you will need. Resource overload happens very quickly since there are a million things out there.

You're right. I'm about to overload myself trying to get ahead lol.

When I was in school i split the cost with several classmates and we shared an account. Very glad I did rather than pay the whole thing. Some of the videos are really good. And info is good. There's a lot of pdfs that are useful. However somewhere along the way the guy started holding tutor sessions and uploaded those as teaching videos rather than his usual style. They are terrible. The sound quality is horrible and there's generally some girl asking bad questions which details him from teaching, or she's going "uh huh", "mmhmmm" every few seconds. These videos encompass a good two thirds of his stuff.

I highly recommend nursing.com. I really enjoyed and got a lot out of that program. It's far more professional and am nclex prep is included.
