Shut off at 75

I know how you feel! I took mine yesterday, also shut down at 75 questions.. and I absolutely have no idea how I did. One minute I'm telling myself I maybe could have passed and the next I'm looking at my calendar to see when I can take it again :rotfl:

I know how you both feel...I was there yesterday, but you will get through this and you will pass. I too felt like I failed when I took my test yesterday but I found out at 8am today that I passed and you will to!!!

Hi all,

I took NCLEX-RN this morning. I have to say that people's responses here are remarkably consistent. Like almost everyone else I have no clue how I did. There were almost always two answers that I had to choose (guess?) between. Studying specific content isn't enough because it's what you do with the content that matters. All I can do is throw up my hands and wait.

Well it sounds like you did fine. I had the hardest time narrowing it down to 2! Its a crazy test.

I am in utter agony, hence my screen name. i took the nclex this morning and it shut off at 75 questions. I had at least 5 check all that apply and fill in the blank. I have never heard of anyone having that many. I came home, and tortured myself, looking up alot of questions, and I know I got several wrong. I am so terrified that i failed. does it mean anything if you got alot of prioritizing questions? someone told me that those are the harder questions. is that true? how do you lower your anxiety level? any advice? aghhhh!!! :uhoh21:

I had 6-7 "choose all that apply" questions; I couldn't believe it. I don't usually do well on them. I had a lot of prioritizing questions and lots of teaching questions- not just patient teaching, but "the nurse is planning a workshop on X, what information should she include" kind of questions. It seems that there is very little that I can even look up to see if I was "right" because in some cases the choice was between two right answers but the question said select the BEST or the MOST or the FIRST.

I handle my anxiety by obsessively reading everything ever written by anyone who took the NCLEX on these boards- lol.

Hey everyone. I took the NCLEX- RN on tuesday, along with a fellow student, and another person from our class also took it on monday. We all had 75 questions, and guess what? We ALL passed!!!!!! :rotfl:

Congratulations! That is terrific news. I think the cake is a good idea; if I pass I'm going to bake me something huge and chocolate. Maybe I'll try the chocolate crock pot fudge creation and serve it with canned cherry pie filling. Yeah, that's what I'll do.

I had SO many of the select all questions too! I hate them with a passion! I had a lot of priority.

did anyone take thier boards in colorado?

Oh my lord - i too am freaking out. I took it today and like so many of you i have no earthly clue how I did - no idea at all. It cut off at 75 so Im hoping that is a good sign. My state (AL) doesnt do the quick results thing so i have to wait for 2 whole weeks - i may die before then. Anyone in Bama know if there is way to get the results quicker than that? I just took my test today & like you, I had a lot of select all that apply, LOTS of prioritizing, & ones about teaching. I also handle my anxiety by reading every post regarding NCLEX on this site!
