Shift and weekend differentials- what are yours?

$3/hr for nights and $2.50/hr for weekends. Cumulative; i.e., weekend nights is $5.50/hr shift diff.

There is additional PTO credit for nights and weekends for FTEs.

I have no idea about charge or precept diffs.

The hospital I'm at pays $2.?? extra per hour from 3p to 7a, so day shift nurses do get the pay for the last 4 hours. On weekends, dayshift gets base +35% plus shift diff after 3p. Night nurses get base +50% +diff. Charge gets $1 extra I think. No extra pay for pulling or floating, no extra pay for working on a holiday. I personally think the diffs are awesome at this hospital.

Ok, so my new job will be $4.10 for evenings, $4.80 for nights, and $3.45 for weekends.

so total that's $7.55 weekend evenings, and $8.25 weekend nights. Not too bad I guess.

8% for evenings/15% for nights - regardless of day of week

time-and-a-half for 4 hours over your scheduled shift

double time for working at least 4 hours of your weekend off

We recently went to a dollar-per-hour schedule for the differential, but grandfathered in current employees. I am not aware of the new pay scale, but know there is a cap, and it is considerably less than the percentage scale.

I work at a non-union hospital. We get 2.00 hr after 1500, 4.00 hour after 2300. We also get 3.00 hr for preceptor and 3.00 for full time charge, 1.50 hour for relief charge. There is also a 4.00 weekend differential and 20.00 hour for "incentive shifts". Incentive shifts are paid to whoever picks up and extra shift in a unit where core staffing is down by 20%. So tomorrow I'm working incentive, charge, weekend and preceptoring for a total of 30.00 hour for the first 8 and 33.00 for the last 4 before I even get my base pay!

10%/hr of base pay. M-F it starts @ 1800, Sat it starts @ 1300, Sunday it's all day. Go figure.

Not sure about shift differentials but weekends...$0.

3-11 gets $2.00 more

Nights get $3.00 more

Weekends $5.00 more

BSN's get $1.00 more

we also have "red line" So when they need someone really bad they'll pay you $5.00 more.. you can get double and even triple redline sometimes

We get 7% diff for 3p-11p, 10% for 11p-7a, no weekend diff

and in addition to the hourly shift premium, a quarterly bonus of two hundred dollars ($200.00) will be paid to a full-time employee who works a complete quarter on evenings. In addition to the hourly shift premium and the quarterly bonus, a bonus of one thousand five hundred dollars ($1500.00) will be paid to a full-time employee who works four consecutive quarters on the evening shift. Those numbers are prorated for appointment fraction.

Nights is defined as a shift that starts between 7:00 p.m. and before 3:00 a.m., or has a majority of scheduled hours between 11:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. the hourly differential is: $1.25/hr

In addition to the hourly shift premium, a quarterly bonus of three hundred dollars ($300.00) will be paid to a full-time employee who works a complete quarter on nights. In addition to the hourly shift premium and the quarterly bonus, a bonus of two thousand dollars ($2,000.00) will be paid to a full-time employee who works four (4) consecutive quarters on the night shift, prorated based on appointment fraction.

Weekends:

If they assign you to more than four weekend shifts in a four week period, you get $2.00 her hour for the extra shifts above four. but if you volunteer to work weekends:

An employee who volunteers or who is assigned and works a fifth (5th) and/or sixth (6th) weekend shift within the eight (8) weekend shifts in a four (4) week scheduling system, will be paid an hourly bonus of three dollars ($3.00) for all hours worked on the fifth (5th) and/or sixth (6th) weekend shift.

An employee who is assigned and works a seventh (7th) and/or eighth (8th) weekend shift in the same four (4) week scheduling block will be paid an hourly bonus of five dollars ($5.00) for all hours worked on the weekend shifts starting with the fifth (5th) weekend shift.

That's a bit hard to understand, I know. But it boils down to very little moola.

We get NOTHING for charge and nothing for precepting.
