Mar 12, 201016 yr Hey everyone. With so many programs sending acceptance letters I am checking to see if anyone has heard from SFSU?
Apr 10, 201016 yr The supplemental criteria for SFSU was ridiculous...how many of these people are actually fluent in a 2nd language...I mean they verify this with a signature of a random person.^congrats to the poster above me :)
Apr 10, 201016 yr I don't understand their rules. In the pre-nursing forums, someone said they had a 3.7 prereq GPA with 1/3 of the supplementals and was accepted, and then Brighten says he got denied with a 4.0 and volunteer hours (which I assume is a supplemental). It makes no sense to me. I didn't even apply, but I was considering it, and they just confuse me so much from what I have read on here.I am just guessing it is like I said in the other thread, maybe they rank paid work experience higher than volunteer experience? I am not sure though.I have a 3.91 pre-req GPA, 3.83 overall GPA and 6 1/2 years of work experience in a PT clinic. I also was a certified EMT (although couldn't take the paycut at the time to work as one).EMT certification only takes a semester, maybe that is something to do in the meantime, just a thought.Good luck to all.
Apr 10, 201016 yr Hey guys,I have been checking this website for information about the different nursing colleges. I also got accepted to the BSN program in SFSU. I got my acceptance letter today and I am gonna start next spring. I want to share my admission scores for those who want to know what the college is looking for: -3.69 GPA-3.60 Pre reqs (B on Micro and Anatomy) -I was in the military as a corpsman which is the same as a medic for 5 years-my multicultural experience consist of providing medical care for the Iraqi army-I also speak another language. Thanks to all the people who post on this forum. Last thing I want to say is that it was a hard journey to get into the program and hope everyone find a way to fulfill their career goals.f
Apr 11, 201016 yr I still haven't heard back from SFSU. My admissions status still says that my file is still under review by the nursing department but a friend of mine from school got her acceptance letter yesterday 4/10. I just want to know if I got in or not so I know what I will be doing in the following months!! Is anyone still waiting to hear if they got in or not or have most of you received an acceptance/rejection letter?
Apr 11, 201016 yr if u get rejected and not placed on the waitlist do they still mail u a letter. that is what I am wondering. maybe they mail the accepted/waitlisted people first.

My coworkers sister got a rejection letter. (Although, she said she got hers at the end of March which seemed weird to me). I know when I called the automated message said they would be sending out letters through the 16th of April, and possibly the week after for the MSN program.
Apr 11, 201016 yr Author Yep. some of us still have to wait but not for long. When I called the School of Nursing on Friday the answering machine said that undergrad student will be notified starting on April 9th and grad students on April 19th. So soon but not soon enough, I am still checking my status every day.
