Scores on Practice Tests

I keep getting 60-70% on my Kaplan practice test. I'm scheduled to take the real thing in a couple of days. Should I reschedule? :(

I wouldn't besides a lot of people seemed to have those same scores before they took the test.

I say, study what you think you need to improve on from now til then, and give it a try. You might surprise yourself. Good luck to you :)

Thanks. That helps Jessica and Shyne. I can't believe how I'm struggling with this. I'm terrified!

no problem. i think a little pressure or stress is a good thing. just don't over do it. as long as you stay in control and do the best you can you will be fine. i am sure you will be back posting the great news with a big marysunshine, rn :D

if this makes you feel better, i wish i was in your shoes :p . i still have another year and a half before i finish!

I hear that is really good on Kaplan. I have also been scoring 60's and 70's on it. If you look in the Kaplan book it will tell you that if you are scoring 53% or higher on their tests it puts you in the 90% chance of passing boards, so I think you are doing a great job. I sit on the 26th and am scared to death as well. Only time will tell. Best of luck to us!

Wow, Jen2, if that's true then you have lifted a huge weight off my shoulders! I had just seen in their scoring section that they recommended getting a 70% or higher to feel comfortable with your testing abilities. Made me very nervous.

:) Hi Mary!

I took the test yesterday and found out today I passed with 75 questions I studied Kaplan questions only. The highest I did on any of the tests was a 62%. I thought Kaplan did a great job of simulating NCLEX questions....especialy the priority ones :p

Try to relax and Good Luck!

My highest score on Kaplan was 71% and that was just on 1 test. On the others, I was anywhere from 61ish to 65ish. You are ready!!

Same here ... I'm getting high 60s to low 70s on Kaplan.

All my other standardized test scores (Mosby Assess Test, RN-CAT, NLNs after every semester) were in the 90+ percentile ... so I'm continuing to work through Kaplan - I think the book in particular is excellent - but I'm not really stressing about the scores on their 7 practice tests.

That's a good range. One of my friend passed and she told me that she never got more than 70%... so I wouldn't reschedule.

I passed! I hope this thread encourages others who are scoring in the 60s on Kaplan tests.

I'm curious about the Kaplan Tests? Which one is this? Is it available in the bookstores? I have the Kaplan 2005-2006 with CD, is this what you guys talking about? I just wanna know incase I failed my exam ( I took on 7/15 and still don't know the result).

Thanks
