Sciences i need to take

Posted

I'm going to nursing school and I have been doing some thinking. I'm the type of person that like PREPARING and STAYING AHEAD IN LIFE. I will graduate nursing school ( cause that's how much I want to make something out of myself) :-)

Anyway I want to get my BSN and get my masters to become a CRNA!!!

MY REAL Q'S IS, What sciences can I take while in nursing school to help me later on???

I'm really dedicated to learning and my education, I just wanna hear those that has seniority in these such things.

Thanks for the help l, if any :-)

Look at your schools. They always have programs and their required courses online. Because I'm only going for ADN I only needed Intro to bio, microbiology, A&P 1&2. No chemistry for my program.

Has 2 years experience.

For the BSN program I am starting in the fall, I am required to have completed: A & P 1, A & P 2, microbiology, nutrition & chemistry. But your best bet is to look at the schools around you.

Yeah I'm going for my ADN also first but while I wait, this summer I figured I would take an extra science class to boost me later. Thanks :-)

I was in Chemistry honors in high school , does that mean anything??

You chemistry high school will probably not mean anything as far as credits. But it should make class easier b

I need to take:

*A&P 1

A&P2

*Chem w/Lab

*Microbiology w/Lab

All before I can apply to the nursing program.

* these classes each have a pre-requisite so they sort of equal 2 science classes

Thanks! Whew that's a weight off me, knowing a little can bring you lots lol :-)

Well the school I'm attending only requires:

•A&P I

•A&P II

And I want to take more to up the stakes for when I go for my BSN :-)

Narrow down the schools you want to get your bsn at and target those sciences. Good luck.

You will most likely need to take Chemistry and Microbiology in addition to the A&P I and II.

There are usually other class necessary too. If I were you I would try to knock out the required Math, English, Psych, Anthro, Statistics, etc.

Here's another idea--what about your CPR requirement? Have you taken that yet?

Chem 1, chem2, a&p 1, a&p 2, micro, gen psych, lifespan psych, statistics, and medical terminology are all of the required science/math classes for me.
