Saddleback Fall 2014

Just turned in my Fall 2014 application today! I thought I would start a new thread for the Fall 2014 applicants as a way of coping with this three month wait we are all in store for. I already have a countdown on my phone for May 30th, it can't come soon enough! What is everyones point range? Does anyone have any useful info on the program? Good luck to everyone!

Don't be discouraged if you don't get an acceptance letter - back when I started Saddleback, people were getting called as late as the DAY BEFORE to start. Many people get accepted and then decide to go elsewhere (where they've also been accepted), and don't notify the Nursing office until time for Orientation. We had at least 10 people who weren't called until the last minute.

I am taking the TEAS on May 30th. I took two weeks off from work to dedicate myself to studying the material. Can you please tell me if the exam is really difficult? I know everyone has a different learning style however I wonder if two full weeks will be long enough to review.

Thanks!

Two weeks is plenty of time. I found the study guide to be helpful as well as the practice tests you can purchase on the ATI site. It really just depends on what type of learner you are. My advice is to purchase the tests, take one, see how you do and study from there. I think i over studied for it personally. I felt the practice tests were of the same level of difficulty as the real TEAS.

Okay great. I feel better now. I bought the ATI manual as soon as it came out a couple years ago. I reviewed it a bit. It doesn't seem ridiculously difficult but I always assume the worst. Thank you for your feedback.

Im the same way lol. My nerves got the best of me on test day. Would have done better but i panicked on a couple of questions which distracted me. Also, i didnt take any breaks in between sections and i should have.

You mentioned you got the book a few years ago. Double check the version you have is still the same. Im not sure when they made the switch from version iv to version v

Oh I'm glad you mentioned taking a break in between sections. I think that will help refresh my mind. I have version 5. As soon as I found out they were switching to a new version, I bought it in hopes to review it a while before my exam.

Perfect! Just stay positive and give it all you got. You will be fine, really.

Thank you!!! I'm nervous but excited at the same time! :nailbiting: :). Thanks again for your response. It really helps. :)

A girl in my class told another girl in my class she got an email Tuesday night that she was accepted. I'm confused because I thought mid to late May is when we are notified. Still waiting anxiously. Has anyone else gotten an email or heard anything from other friends?

I'm almost positive they send you a letter in the mail. I haven't receieved anything yet. I'll ask one of my teachers who is a nursing professor and get back to you.

That is what i thought too. A friend of mine said she got a letter then an email about orientation when got in last yr. Thank you!

Hi! I'm new to this forum and have been anxiously waiting for news as well, has anyone heard anything yet?
