RN pay in other states

Can anyone tell me what RN's make per hour in states like Texas, Georgia, Oregon and Washington? CA is soooo expensive , but the pay here for beginning nurses is in the mid thirties, and goes up to the fifties. Thanks a lot:smilecoffeecup:

I would do a google on pay rates or salary income. They come up with good numbers.

20.50 Adn New Grad And 21.50 Bsn New Grad.....right Outside Of Atlanta

Around $20 or so in Austin, depends on the department. Houston and Dallas pay much better.

Fort Worth 20 dollars new grad, with $5 night differential and $6 differential for friday, saturday, and sunday

I'm in Fort Worth, Texas, and new-grad RNs at my workplace (LTC & rehab) start at $23 per hour.

Baylor in Dallas starts the new grads off at 19 something, Just under 20. I'm not sure what the increase rate it. I'm graduating in may with my BSN and That is about average throughout the area. East Texas pays 18.65 (I think)

I am in Phoenix, AZ. I think the new grad pay is 20-25 an hour depending on hospital and area you work in. I would say average pay in hospitals would be about 30 an hour for an RN with several years of experience. Of course then you would add on diffs. for nights and weekends and specialty areas, so that could push it up to around 40 an hour!

I am in Northern

Nevada, about 3 hours east of Sacramento and new grads start out at $26/hr with a 10% night differential.

Melanie = )

I am in Jacksonville Florida and depending on the hospital 17.50/18/hr for cheaper ones....and 21/22 per hour for state funded and one other. some places pay 3.25 nights diff, some 6.50 nite diff....some places pay $10.25 weekend diff...and others pay the 3.25 nite diff as well as $5 weekend diff...

The Southeast states are the lowest paid in the country. The Northeast and Pacific are the best paid. These are from an AORN mag.

In WNC you can expect to start under 20 or right at 20 even after a few years experience. Good luck

here in mississippi as a new grad. you'll probably start around $19-20/hr, at some hospitals you might get about $1/hr extra for bsn.

I live in Mobile, AL. New grad pay ranged from $17-20/hr. ($39-46k/yr) The cost of living here is reasonable as well. Buying/building a new 4br/2.5-3ba 2000ish sqft home will run 250-300k depending on location, lot size, etc. A gallon of gas is $2.30. A gallon of milk is $3.35. I live 30 minutes from the beach. An hour and a half-ish to NOLA. Under 6 hours to Atlanta. It's a good area. The only thing I would not reccommend is the middle schools in the public school system. My children will attend a private middle school. (They are currently in a public elementary school and will attend a public high school.)
