bubble bath, candle light, soft music, cup of chamomile tea

Turn off ALL noise, glass of Merlot and pet the pussycat.

We actually go down to the gym and work out and then go swimming and them sit in the hot tub, THEN we go home. It is a great way to get out our frustrations and then relax in the pool and hot tub. I always sleep like a baby after I get home!!

BEER!!!!

Actually, a nice walk with the dogs, a few beers, some close friends either over to my house or on the phone, and then some mindless sit-com on tv.

Damn, I'm boring as heck. LOL

If it was a particularly stressfull shift go to the firing range and blow off a couple hundred rounds. Takes the edge right off you.

I'm so jelous! I live/work in a small town and work days. Gym hrs. from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. No swimming pool. No hot tub. Lots, and lots of dirt blowing especially during harvest....Achoo! Lots of snow & ice during winter....Brrr, oops/plop. Lots of chemical clouds during Spring planting...hack and choke.

So for me it's home, family, friends, and an altruistic club membership. Thank goodness for my life's blessings!

I play with my cat and then come online and listen to people who have had worse days than me:wink2:

Exercise in some form.

Beverage of Choice: Margaritas, Hot Chocolate, Merlot, Beer (all in moderation :) )

Shower to wash out any of the work/exercise funky off!

Read, pet kitties (I have one that is a real LOVE CAT - he'll even sleep on your head if he senses you've had a bad day!)

Catch up with friends.

Mindless catching up on TiVO.

Ironing for next days work.

Relax and BED....gotta do it all again!

Take care of yourself.

Be kind and easy with yourself.

;)

Well, I'm OLD and at the point in my life where I will no longer work full-time, and I won't work more than two shifts in a row.

When I get home, I play with my little dog, and turn on CNN, and have a big glass of decaf iced tea.

This completely made me laugh! I know you that you are talking about your pets, but I immediately thought of something else. Just shows how even occassionally working on a teenage sex offender unit will warp your mind.

I used to work in a facility a mile and a half from my house...no time to unwind at all before I got home. Now my drive is at least 25 minutes. I usually crank up the tunes on the CD player...Bette Midler or Linda Rhonstadt...and sing really loudly...I used to sing at weddings so I'm pretty good, but I do still get the odd look from the person in the car next to me at the red light....

ps no euphemisms here!

how dare you besmirch my innocent kitten's reputation!
