76 Questions

Hi everyone- Took the New NCLEX April 2, 2010. I had 76 Questions. And I feel like I did good on it...Im thinking that is a bad sign. Any thoughts? I took it last year and had 265 and failed.

Good luck on your results. How were the new formats? I am taking it this April and I'm very anxious, my 3rd try. :(

I think you passed. In order to have gone to 265 you were doing well but just not enough to pass, so you didn't. So based on the fact that to fail at 76 you have to be doing really bad it doesn't look like is your case. I think there are two possibilities here. (1) the computer identify right away your strengths or weaknesses and you pass or fail without going all the way to 265 (2) at a certain point in the algorithm of the program a switch happens and change the format to test to a all questions test. But remember (and this told by someone at NCSBN) you must be doing well to get all questions. How long did you take to answer each questions? Timing is also a factor but I don't know exactly how it's computed into the results but it does have a value.

Good luck...!!!

Wednesdayyschild, did you do the trick? May be you should try the pearsonview trick.

took it on apr 2 too... got the results already this morning through quick results.. Hope you pass it

The PVT trick is discussed in a long thread that is a sticky at the top of this forum. Best of luck to the OP with the official results.

So did you pass? i just took mine and had only 75 questions, i feel really insecure. im a nervous wreck, there's no definite way of telling whether you did so well tehy don't let you go on, or you did so poorly theat they don't want you to move on.

hi! hows d exam? did u have audio items too and diagrams?

it was rough, i still feel defeated, anytime i close my eyes i see teh questions before me :(. i had no diagrams or audio actually. i think i had about 3-4 SATA's, medications, infection control and "which pt should the nurse see first" questions. very little peds or ob questions.

hi YBLisa! how was ur exam? were there really a lot of audio questions? how much has it changed? although I have never really taken it before. It will be my first time to take the exam on the 14th. Am also very nervous. I just wanna know if our preparation is enough for the higher passing standard now...?-this makes me nervous. any last minute tips? thanks.
