Hello,

Yes there is a test called the NET test ( Nursing Entrance Test). It consists of 2 sections, Math and English. It is fairly easy. Basic high school information. Hope this helps.

It really depends on the nursing program some programs require an entrance exam some do not. There are several "entrance exams" that different nursing programs use, NET, HESI-A2, PAX-RN, ect.

Do u know if thats for every state? I live in nys.

In CT we have to take the TEAS test. You have to check with the specific school you are interested in in order to find out their precise requirements--there is no broad answer for all schools.

It depends on if you want to go to a private or a CUNY college in NY. Most private colleges have that requirement, but some CUNY colleges (such as BMCC) don't. The best bet is to go on the website of each college that you are interested in, and their requirements should be up. Good Luck!

It depends on institution. Some will require NET, others will require TEAS.

No, that's not bad. My nursing school didn't require one and it has a great reputation and high NCLEX passing rates.

What school are you looking into?

If they don't require an entrance exam, then you need to see what their criteria is. GPA will be a huge factor if there is no exam.
