My class is 8 weeks. Good luck with taking it in 5 weeks.

I'm doing the 8 weeks too. I was tempted to take the 5 week course but was afraid to, since I'm awful at math and very intimidated by this class.

It was class 5488 I think.

I saw it right in with the rest of them online. There was 3 PSY 120 classes listed; 2 of the 5 week, and 1 of the 8 week.

Yay more people taking the 8 week course! Thank goodness. I'm hoping it shows up in blackboard a little sooner to et a headstart...

I read somewhere else that the course shows up a week ahead. It's not showing up on mine. The course shows up but it isn't activated yet.

Yeah I have the same issue...I was hoping that it would show so I could get started, I am terrified. It has been over four years since I last had an actual math course. We need to support each other lol

The 8 weeks class isn't offered for the fall....it would be kinda nice. I sure hope I survive! I've heard good things about my prof, though.

Can someone in Psy 120 tell me what the most difficult aspect of the course is? I suck at math in general. But is it the math or what that makes stats so hard? What can one do to prepare for the class? Thanks...

For me it is just working through the formulas. I haven't taken algebra in 40 years, and I am understanding it. I did prepare myself before class started by looking at some of the free online stats sites. Kahn academy is good.

Go over your basic algebra like adding and subtracting negative numbers, doing cross multiplication and working with exponents.

If you have professor K she has great step by step videos. They have helped me alot. And you just have to practice . I like professor K's method of writing everything out for each step. It is a pain, but it does help keep you on track and it reduces mistakes.

It sounds like a good thing that I will have Prof K. Thanks for the tips. Do you have to set up a proctor for the mid-term and final? Kahn Academy is very good. Did you review his statistics videos? I've been reviewing the basic math and algebra. Thanks again!

Did you guys see the outline for the midterm? Yikes... I am freaking out........... how am I going to remember everything. Thank God it is open note and open book.... without it, I'd be sunk
