  1. @Joliver922 just remove the percentages! So like if you scored a 90% in all four sections, you would just do 90+90+90+90. Your UNF score would be 360 ?
  2. Hey guys, Currently in the APL program! I just went through this process so if anyone has any questions about the interview process or the program in general, feel free to ask! Like others mentioned before, the interview is very informal and definitely just a way for the program to understand your personality & your passion for nursing. Good luck!!!
  3. I got into the APL program! Can’t wait to meet everyone!
  4. @LoveBee Yay! Tampa is an awesome city - definitely go to Oxford Exchange lol I still haven’t gotten my email. I’m shaking in my seat!
  5. @Anatomyofnurisng I thought the workshop was very helpful! They tell you some great tips and relieve stress for the day. Plus they have a bunch of SNA members there that also help out during interview day so it’s nice to see familiar faces!
  6. @Anatomyofnurisng the interview process is very relaxed! It is so well organized and they really do whatever it takes to make you feel comfortable for the day. You have plenty of time to meet your group & hang out with current students in the program. You can ask them all of the questions you want & at least for me, they were all very honest & helpful! You also get fitted for your polo during this time. After a bit, Dr. Dibble and Dr. Loriz talk to you and give you a pep talk. They really kept stressing that this interview was to see who you were, that you’re smart because you got invited so to focus on showing your personality! Then you’re guided to your interview room. It’s a group of 3-5 of you plus 3 interviewers - usually community nurses/faculty/recent graduates. You sit at a round table and get started on your interview. It’s 4 non-medical questions total + questions afterwards. My interviewers were amazing and the time you get to talk to your group beforehand is KEY. It really allows you to find the flow of the group so everyone is fairly represented in the interview. I remember during the workshop, they made sure to remind us that we were NOT competing against each other so not to treat it as such. It is much more like a group discussion than it is an interview. I hope that helped! ?
  7. @LoveBee that was for military service! You had to explicitly let the people there know and write Beth a separate note if you didn’t want to be considered for APL. You are all good ?
  8. @LoveBee YES. My interviewers were so great and kept mentioning how awesome we did. I’m trying not to think about it too much because I’m in the same boat!! Hoping for the best.
  9. Got waitlisted as well! Waiting to RSVP my spot in case I get in to the other school I applied to but I'm curious of how likely it is that I get off of it if anyone knows? Thank you! And congrats to anyone who got in!!!!
  10. I currently go to UF and know lots of people who applied to the program. Not a single one of them have gotten accepted to the Gainesville campus, only Jacksonville!
  11. For everyone who got in, do you mind telling me your basic stats? And if you had any medical experience?
  12. @skyler20 I received an email!
  13. Congrats to everyone who got in! I didn't get in but emailed Kenneth to see what I could do to improve in case I do not get into the other schools I applied to.
  14. I am planning on attending if the dates work out and I can! I go to UF and currently live in Gainesville so I just need to be plan my drive & everything. Do we have any idea of when it will be? Looks like it was later in February last year.
  15. Got an interview as well!! When Beth sent an email last week (or somewhere around there), she essentially said she should be done by 02/01 but to make sure we have the right emails in MyWings by 01/22. I'm assuming that meant as soon as she would be done going through the applications and ranking, she would go ahead and send the invitations out instead of waiting!
