  1. This might sound very biased. But if I were to get through the application and pick schools between my acceptances again. I will still choose the University of Arizona. CRNA school is hard no matter where you go. But the faculty in this program has been exceptional. After hearing what my colleagues go through in other programs, I am grateful for every minute that I chose this program.
  2. Hi everyone, My friend just got an interview and Im helping him find tips for interview. What were the most common topics ask? Was it more clinical type of questions or emotional? Thank you

  4. good luck everyone! you will love UoA, I love it personally. the program is laid out pretty well, with strong faculty. and piece of advice, its not all personal, a clinical question may be thrown here and there, last time I discuss a mechanism of pressor down to cellular level. and be genuinely honest, the faculty can smell BS when they hear it. I have so much respect for them.
  5. UofA is more personality based questions per my experience. I LOVE the program so much, the faculty teaches you how to incorporate humility with intelligence and assertiveness professionally. I love how heavy the sciences are! which I prefer to be honest. as long as you are not a d*ck, a**hole, or cocky, you should be fine. I met a lot of ICU nurses in the past who are not aware of their know-it-all and cocky attitude. for some reason, seasoned CRNAs like UofA’s faculty have a great eye looking out for those kind of people. good luck! its a great program!

  7. youre awesome! see you there classmates. I spoke with some students in the program. all I can say is, we are in good hands.
  8. hello classmates? I was wondering if theres a page we can connect to one another like a facebook, instagram or other form of communication? I spoke with a senior student and she advised me to connect early with my cohort since we will become family the next 3 years.
  9. I decided to give up my seat. to those in waitlist, I wish you good luck. mount marty have a great number of instructors. I had the best interview with mount marty faculty so it was a hard decision to make.
  10. me too done 2 hours ago. I love all of them! feels like a family already. those will get in are very lucky and I found out some of the faculty are military trained CRNA’s.
  11. thank you! looking forward to meet the faculty
  12. “Nobody has to move to AZ until clinical starts 18 months in. There is a gross anatomy course in the very first semester. It is 5 weeks long and is usually offered in person. This year it migrated to online because of COVID but that is not optimal. This coming Summer we hope that it is in-person again. Most non-residents usually get together and Air B&B or VRBO for that time frame here in Tucson.” from the Assistant Program Director. looking forward to do Air B&B with you classmates
  13. yay! let me know if there is a facebook group for this cohort
  14. hi. I got in as well. hoping to find a roommate to save in rent and since we are only 15, we can do study groups.
  15. actually, we just celebrated at work my coworker’s admission to CRNA school. he has a great resume like yours but his GPA is 3.3, no interviews for 2 years but he kept at it. we are so proud of him. so for me, I think its possible.
  16. hi there! im also applying this year. as a fellow applicant, my honest feedback is your GPA would be your hole on your application. from perusing different school programs, I found that the minimum acceptable GPA is 3.2. with that being said, I can definitely feel that you are competent and confident with your clinica skills and I feel like youre going to do good in interview. my advice is maybe you can take CMC and CSC, take a grad level course and get an A, and get a high score on the GRE. @BigPappaCRNA is well sought out here in this forum, he might have additional or better advice for your situation. best of luck!
  17. hi. im currently applying for crna school too. and the process itself is tedious. I will be very honest with you. other people might tell you do not apply due to rigors of the program but if this is what you really wanted to do, do not let it affect you. regarding your question, I would not bring it up unless you were ask to do so OR bring it up if you know you can use it as an advantage. if I were in your position and they ask me about it during the interview, I would be honest and tell them “mental health is an important factor especially for anesthesia program that is why this time around I made sure I am emotionally and mentally prepared for this program by making sure I don't have any personal problems that might affect me such as in my family, friends or with my significant other. I learned also from my previous experience and taught myself positive coping mechanisms such as (insert what you like to do to destress ex reaching out to friends or hiking). in addition, having that experience just made me a stronger person because next time a stressful situation arises during the program, I would be able to handle it far better than before.” good luck to your application!
  18. im currently completing my application for this school. so far, I've read positive comments about this school but I also would like to hear from someone who went through the program.
  19. WOW!. hopefully I get an interview on this program. different people told me this program is very supportive. I live in the west coast but willing to move if I get in this program.
