  1. In my facility, we put the stage of the wound in the careplan and we update as necessary.
  2. Awesome! I'll take my stats later on.
  3. So I took nutrition pre-assessment test and got 63% without studying. Need 72% to pass I believe. So i shall study nutrition starting tomorrow. I also have to start care of the older adult tomorrow. I have these two classes open for me so I shall see. What about you virtual classmates? How is it going so far?
  4. Take psych job. Who knows you may like it.
  5. Awesome! What med did you spot that cause HTN?
  6. Thanx for the info. [emoji106]
  7. I agree with the above post. Leave it be. It is the DONs job to check her credentials.
  8. I'm sorry for your loss.
  9. You look like you are more prepared than me jm because I dont know what coa pa is and what is this cohort class you are talking about. Thanks.
  10. Finished orientation. I still don't have a mentor. I was told i will have a name by next week. I can't wait to start. April 1st here i come.
  11. NEVER forget this. The teacher is ALWAYS right. Arguing with teachers will cause unnecessary hardships to student. I learned this early on when I was a nursing student. My classmates caught on eventually and some did not. Those who did not learn this failed the clinicals because they were assigned hard patients.
  12. Just bought a new laptop (windows). Per WGU IT support, my imac (2009/2010) is too old. It was OSx 10.5.8. It won't let me download any of the latest browsers.
  13. Thanx I will download firefox and see if it works. [emoji106][emoji106]
  14. I was trying to do my orientation yesterday on my 7 year old imac and a lot of the videos were not even showing. I tried it on my iphone 6s and the videos were working fine. I think i may need to buy a laptop. Windows maybe.
  15. You left a year ago. This should not be your problem any longer. Move on with your life. Let karma take care of this if she indeed did this.
  16. My first year as an LPN I made 60k. This is with overtime of course and working holidays. I almost made 100k as a new RN. This is with overtime of course.
  17. Yup orientation today. I was told it takes several hours to complete. I will start it later after work.
  18. Yup CNAs work with you not for you. But they do work under your license Anyhoo, give them respect and hopefully they give you respect back. Some CNAs will test you but just be firm with them.
  19. Scrub tech or Surgical tech.
  20. Congrats [emoji122][emoji122][emoji322][emoji322]
  21. Good problem to have eh? What state is this if you dont mind me asking? Forensic nursing sounds interesting. I wouldnt know what to do either if it was me. Obviously, you dont want to be in your current position thats why you were looking for something else. I would pick the outpatient surgical within the same hospital. This way, there would be no break in your insurance coverage.
  22. I never worked acute care but why is the pt being awaken at 2am for BP. Isn't sleep part of healing/recovery? Then calling the MD for SBP 170 @ 2am?
  23. Also, please do not use wet-to-dry dressing. This actually harm the good tissue. Use hydrogel soaked gauze instead then cover with silicone foam adhesive dressing. I love these silicone dressing. The adhesive part are silicone based therefore it is very mild to skin.
