Have you thought about a less acute setting?

Graduated last year and started working in a LDRPN right out of school. I'm still there and couldn't imagine anything else!

Graduated June 19th, passed NCLEX August 5th, started working August 9th. I was hired before graduation at the hospital I did my preceptorship in.

My hospital was doing up to $25,000 sign on bonuses for a little while and it was legitimate. Not always too good to he true! :)

I've never really hung NS... only LR or D5LR in labor and postpartum.

I am a new nurse, so not the seasoned advice you're looking for, but I would go with the larger facility. I'd take a 10% section rate increase with great management over poor management and a facility that can't keep employees any day. Congratulations on the job offers and good luck with your new adventure!

I'm sure it depends on the school. My school gave leave of absences (1 time per student) but you cannot be gone more than 90 days.

I moved 3,000 miles from home for nursing school, but I brought my boyfriend and my best friend who was in school as well. It was difficult emotionally and financially but I grew so much as a person and started my career years sooner than if I had stuck out the wait list here. You can always move back if things don't work out!

I had the same pop up and ended up passing. Congrats! You could also try checking your state's licensure website... my name and RN license number was posted online the same day I took my exam. :)
