  1. any updates?
  2. Where I'm from we have really bad snow storms and the employers still don't expect you to walk 15 miles in the snow. Thats completely insane. What good is a nurse or nurse aide that has hypothermia or frost bite. telling someone to walk 15 miles in the snow is never good advice. To think that some of the people commenting are practicing nurses. that blows my mind.
  3. My favorite is Nurse Elizabeth Webber from General hospital. I like her because no matter what your there for, shes your nurse. I feel like shes the only nurse in the hospital. One minute shes talking care of OB patients, then scrubing in on brain or heart surgery. like does she work on every floor and for every specialty. that bugs me. I love her character though.

Depends on the school. I had a 2.79 and I got into a community college program. I did have great grades in A&P 1 and 2, and Microbiology.
  5. My nutrition class was online, and I found it to be pretty easy. we learned about basic things like carbs, fats and proteins. We also learned about different nutrition diseases like diabetes, hypertension, and cardiovascular disease. We also talked about nutrition at the different life stages.
  6. I am currently taking both right now, and i fee like they are so similar that is helps. I currently i have an A and B in the classes.
  7. I got a 75. I don't remember what each individual score was though. I didn't really do well, what save me was my science score which was a 90 something. I did not study, and it showed lol I actually did get accepted to program.
  8. If you get in the ADN program just do that. Being a nurse is better than not being one. I was in a similar situation when my grades were not competitive for my BSN program. I am now attending a community college with a great ADN program. after you get your associates, the bachelor program will only be one year. I feel like the time it takes to improve your gpa, you can be nurse. also checking out the grade forgiveness is a good idea, if you qualify. sounds like that could boost you up quite a bit. Good luck on whatever you decide.
  9. When I took it, what got me was all technical stuff like cardiac rhythms. Just keep going at it its not impossible. I finished both A&P classes with an A. I used to search for online quizzes for extra help.
  10. That's great. I'm surprised they would only have one biology tutor. they need to fix that lol. I'm glad you decided to stick it out.
  11. Hi! lol. Have you gone to any tutoring? I agree with the poster above about changing your study habits. Maybe try flash cards if your not already doing so. What helps me is reading the book, and highlighting important information. Then I take notes of what I read, then I rewrite those notes multiple times before it sticks. Then I do the questions in the book. I also try to apply the info to something personal. I hope that you don't have to drop the class, but if you feel like there is no turning it around that would probably be best you don't want any low grades dragging down your average. Just make sure it doesn't effect financial aid if you are receiving it. Good luck.
  12. Do you go to Lakeland? I just saw a post just like this on a Lakeland group Facebook page, so i'm just curious if that was you lol
  13. I don't know, maybe I'm petty but she just annoys the crap out of me. It might be because I'm a liason fan. lol
  14. Lol I'm one of those Carly haters. well i used to be, now I am a Sam hater lol that's crazy they were sending you death threats. that is why I stay away from Soap boards.
  15. I actually have a similar issue. I looked up a relative on my state's BON, and she didn't come up either. if your license is taken away, would they still come up on the BON?
