  1. I work part time: 11 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. at my local hospital. I am scheduled to work 48-56 hours bi-weekly. I work 3 to four days a week and every other weekend. I was hired to work in ICU, but I frequently float and perform duties as a patient sitter. I also attend school part time.
  2. I have an appointment with her the beginning of next month.
  3. I haven't registered yet but I have an appointment appointment with my academic advisor next month. Thanks for the advice!
  4. Hi all, I am scheduled to take my first non-clinical nursing course this fall. I am also taking a science course also. Do yiu suggest I take microbiology or anatomy & physiology first? I know they are both difficult courses, but I'm not sure of taking one first will help me with the other. Thanks!
  5. Hello everyone! I took my first test for inorganic chemistry yesterday and I did less than stellar. I studied my butt off for three nights in a row , reviewed my notes after class, and completed my homework and online exercises. Due to my current family situation, it makes it nearly impossible for me to get to the tutor. The professor has lab hours, but I have another class right after chem. I don't know what to do, I tried my hardest and still fell flat on my face. I went into the test feeling good. Do I continue to try my best and work my butt off trying to study or just withdrawal from the class and take it next semester? Has anyone else had a similar situation? I am very disappointed in myself because I know I can do much bettter.
  6. Hey everyone! I'm disappointed in myself as I didn't do as well as intended in my summer courses. I put too much pressure on myself and between working at night amd being a single mom, my performance was poor. My GPA has slipped to a 2.9. Is there still time for me to catch up? I foolishly took an accelerated bio and intermediate math class. I know I can do way better than this. I have a lot going on in life and bit off way more than I could chew. I will definitely study harder and work harder next semester. I'm going to be taking afternoon and early evening classes in September, so I'll be able to get more rest. A lot of the times, I was coming to class right after work. Night shift is the only shift I am able to work. Has anyone else been in this situation? I'm going into my 4th semester, still trying to finish up prereqs (I still have the sciences to go plus sociology and psychology growth nd development). I know I can do it, I want this degree more than anything; I refuse to give up my dream.
  7. Thank you and good luck to you also.
  8. Good luck everyone!!!
  9. Hi everyone! The summer is winding down quick. I wanted to know what classes you'll be taking in the fall. I'm taking general chemistry and sociology. I'm still taking my pre-reqs.
  10. Thank you ladies for your input!
  11. I never got a chance to take psychology back in high school, so I'm excited. They are both 101 classes, so I'm hoping they aren't that difficult.
  12. Hi everyone! I'm selecting my classes for next term and not sure if I should do psychology and sociology together or in separate semesters. Thanks for the input.
  13. Sounds like you're doing pretty well. I have two a's and one b so far in my classes. In taking English composition, pre-algebra, and a developmental class. Best of luck to you.
  14. Wow really? I work part time at the nursing home on the weekend and do two days home care during the week. Its working out okay so far and I'm doing well in my classes. Good luck to you. I'm in my first year prerequisites.
  15. Good luck and congrats to you
