UPS Drivers make HOW much????
I left a job making 75k a year to go become an RN...at my previous job I may have done 3 to 4hrs of actual work a day. My benefits were free and I only worked 8hrs a day, had weekends and holidays off. Now I make less money and work more hours but I don't hate my life and I love what I do. Money is always nice but actually enjoying work is damn nice imo And I still have my racecar and my bassboat lol

MD hung up on me lol
The MD that hung up on me and I had a nice talk today...we are cool and understand each other a little better. He did admit that the DON is nobody to play with and she apparently had a "one way talk" with him about his actions. Even the FMD doesn't mess with our DON...she has been there since the stone age and plays no games lol...I can say I don't ever want her job lol I'm happy being the charge nurse

The sloppy image of nurses today
Just don't wear cartoon print scrubs...please lol

MD hung up on me lol
I am usually super super professional when talking to my seniors ( prior military)..but once in a great while the old salty sailor comes out in times of desperation. In this case it was a serious risk for staff safety and pt safety...one of my staff ended up in the ED and a few of us ended up with some bumps and bruises

MD hung up on me lol
Had an emergency situation with a pt that had all of my licensed staff involved and I needed a Physician like yesterday and this dude hangs up on me because he was in a meeting of some sort...really? I called him right back and was less than nice. During the first call I used words like please during the second call he got the F word twice and he miraculously showed up about 90 seconds later I cant believe that guy...how about do your damn job!!! The meeting can wait...YOUR pt and YOUR staff need you bad! Totally ridiculous and uncalled for. I did apologize for yelling at him lol Funny part was I dialed his office number...so where was this meeting? Yeah...iT was five min before his shift was over

Did you pass? Yes you did! Do you think there is a diifference between a B+ and an A- in the real world?....nope, not one damn thing. Earning your license is what counts Worry about you and your grades and thats it...once you get out of school there is no "fair"...its dead or not dead...that simple

I wanted to smack a physician lol She got mad at me for questioning her orders a on patient she never even examined...didnt even enter this kids room! I told her i wasnt do anything until she saw the pt. This is also the same physician that was mad at me New Years eve for not giving her a 15min warning before i ran a code blue drill...seriously?

Concealed Carry for Caregivers
What i find it appalling rediculois and hilarious at the same time is that when a drunk kills someone the driver is blamed, not the alcohol or the car. When someone gets shot and killed it always seems to be the guns fault...why is that? Can someone explain that?

Concealed Carry for Caregivers
Edit: Akula covered it perfectly Edit 2. Did you know the MLK was killed with a Remington model 760 gamemaster pump action 30-06 rifle. A very very very popular hunting rifle...and several times more powerful than the scary ar15 .223 Edit 3. Akula means shark lol

lasix not given..
Well lasix increases the risk for falls, hypokalemia. Steves johnson is a risk. I kinda like to see a BP before i push 80 of lasix and again 30mins later especially if they are a geriatric pt. To be honest i dont blame to physician one bit as it could be a liability they dont want. Lasix while quite common is nothing to play with What other meds was the pt on? Or supposed to be on

Concealed Carry for Caregivers
I totally respect animals but not nearly as much as i do a firearm And just to put something into perspective my .50 cal 1860s hawken replica flintlock is a ton more powerful than most people think. Last cute little deer that met it got taken right off its feet and that was it I respect animals enough to kill them as quickly and cleanly as possible My fellow Sailor above is dead on correct. Furhermore the 2nd amendment brings up the point that we should be able to form a well regulated militia to stand up and fight a tyranical government.
