  1. Like people have said before I would shop around to see if there are any programs available without those requirements. If not I would hope you'd use a few months of your G.I. bill as opposed to being homeless.
  2. I would recommend printing out the pcs form and become familiar with what goes where. There were a couple of fails for people missing paperwork. I can only speak for the current study guide. I'm not familiar with the new one. I waited about 3 months to test. Being open to cancellations will drastically reduce wait time. Call constantly if you want to test earlier. Although I am finish with the program I am still waiting for EC to finish processing my graduation and should recieve my diploma with next month's cycle.
  3. First i did a excelsior atudy guide read through making tabs for abything that seemed important. Then I started off studying care plans and mnemonics. I signed up for atl online workshop. With that I also got their study guide. The videos included a lot of careplan examples and their study guide had previously made mnemonics. I put the mnemonics on flash cards and whenever I was out i would practice them. At home I would watch careplan videos. Later I started practicing labs and full pcs. I spent 3 months in total studying but I would say study tIL you're comfortable and after that study some more. If possible I would have enjoyed more pcs practice.
  4. Yes there is some variability in terms of dealing with the CE and patient but it's your job to be completely prepared. You can't get gigged for doing everything perfect. Those theories (Quotas) are unfounded and probably made up by someone who couldn't take ownership for a fail. For some people it's a defense mechanism blame someone or something else for my fail. My two tips would be TRY to control your nerves as best you can. Also treat the exam like a job interview, show up first day professionally dressed to impress and conduct yourself as a healthcare professional.
  5. Just passed my Human Growth & Development CLEP. All degree requirements are now met. Glad to be done.
  6. Got the green light from EC to clep it. I'll be trying that website. Hoping to test within the next couple of weeks. Plan is to be done by the time they recieve my cpne results.
  7. Life span development psychology.
  8. Passed my cpne this weekend past. One more class and I am done. Hoping to be allowed to clep it.
  9. Thank you. Double post*
  10. Yep next month is my month. Hoping for the best preparing for the worst.
  11. I did a couple of times a day. Once around when they open and after lunch eastern time.
  12. Update. Have a test date of July 15th. Started by doing a study guide read through and tabbing. Next I'm working on care plans and wound lab Station
  13. I will say that having done the exams recently the ones that were updated/changed recently were more difficult than the older ones and found less connection between practice exam and actual exam.
  14. I came into it knowing the long wait time but am now hoping for a relatively short wait time. Have a deployment coming up and would like to be done with everything before then.
  15. Just finished both FCCA finals. Now onto the beast. It's been a difficult journey so far and the hardest challenge is ahead of me. I can't wait to have it all behind me.
