  1. Because RN grads are qualified and can also work as RPNs once they are licensed? It's not that hard to comprehend.
  2. Good luck in your new position! I am starting my job at a LTC as a Nurse Manager tomorrow. I don't know how to feel about it.
  3. Canadian NCLEX is the same as US NCLEX. There's no difference. Even I've seen American values used on the Canadian exam. I took mine in December.
  4. I don't know. I've seen that behavior at my work before and it has never bothered me as long as they clean up the area after clipping their nails. I'd rather sit with a coworker that is doing that than to clean disgusting bodily fluids.
  5. What bothers you more? Cleaning up poop or seeing your coworkers clip their nails at the nursing station?
  6. Are you implying that for each SATA, there is only one wrong answer?
  7. I don't understand your argument. There is NO way all answers in a SATA question are correct. Did you even write the NCLEX? What makes SATA difficult to answer is that it is either you know the topic of the question really well, or you don't. You cannot second guess any answers. However, I personally loved the SATAs on my exam and prayed to God that I received more while writing the exam.
  8. No one ever replies on Indeed. The GTA is oversaturated of nurses unfortunately. Are you willing to relocate outside of Ontario? Good luck on your job search! I hope we both find something good!
  9. I have but I haven't heard from the HR yet. I have no idea why they are not responding to my applications. Are they still hiring by any chance? And which hospital it? I'm willing to take outpatient clinics in the hospital too if given the chance...
  10. No, only the guy from SK was friendly. The rest seemed exhausted and we're ready to go home. I went very late in the afternoon so that's probably why their mood was low. All they did was refer me to their website and gave me their pamphlets. Also, some of them are looking for speciality nurses like ICU and critical care which I am not certified to work in.
  11. Thank you for your advice. I really appreciate it. I was recently hired by a nursing agency in the GTA but they are not providing any on floor preceptorship/orientation. I know it's dangerous for my license but at this point, I am very desperate for a job. I am reluctant to accept any shifts but I have to start soon if I want to gain some RN experiences.
  12. I also went to the job fair and they encouraged me to keep applying on their website. I feel like it was a waste of time attending the event.
  13. HR usually sends an email saying "We regret to inform you that we will not be pursuing your candidacy for this Registered Nurse...."
  14. I am a new RN. I graduated last year. I guess I'm not really a new grad anymore...
