I don't enjoy going to clinical
I HATED clinical my first semester. I went home crying every day. I am in my last semester now and I don't exactly LOVE it, but I do enjoy giving care to my patients. Being a nurse is extremely different than clinical. Just hand in there, things will improve.

I did something in clinical that may fail me? Pls read.
You have to find out your schools policy. For our school, we are allowed to assist the nurses if the professor isn't there such as (for wound care) hold the patient, hand the nurse the materials, hold the patient's hand. But we are not allowed to actually touch the wound without the teacher there. So find out what your school's policy is. As for documentation, us student's have our own documentation we write that goes into the chart that gets signed off by our teacher every night. If your nurse did her own documentation and you just reminded her of some things she missed, then that is fine. If you did your own documentation and your teacher didn't sign off on it, then that's a problem because you are not an RN, and you're not allowed to document anything without a teacher who is an RN sign off on it. But these are policies that your school should have gone over with you before clinical. If they did not go over the policies with you before clinical, then that is their wrongdoing. Your school technically should have handed out a rule book, and if they have then it was your responsibility to read it. Remember, you are a student nurse and will be making mistakes. You did nothing to jeopardize the life of your patient. And just make sure to think about if you're allowed to do something next time you jump in. Good luck with the rest of nursing school and I hope everything works out!

JFK Muhlenberg Fall 2017
Congrats on starting! I will be graduating this winter from JFK. Some words of advice for you. If you don't study, you will fail. Most students are not prepared for the way nursing questions are asked, they are a completely different format from any other testing questions you have experienced. Study hard, study correctly and you'll be fine. Most students fail nursing 3, (I passed...barley) so make sure you really focus in nursing 3. Even though the tests are super hard, I loved this program. I feel as if they have really prepared me for real nursing life. Good luck and have fun in school!

What is it like?
I have seen that GCU has only a pass, fail grade. And if you pass your grade is a B. Is it true that B is the only passing grade I can get? Is it possible to get an A? The problem is that I want to go to NP school, and having a bunch of Bs on my transcript wont look good.

What is it like?
For those of you who have completed, or are going through a BSN online course: What is it like? Have you been able to do it successfully?

My nursing school story
Your story is amazing! I have a couple of questions that I hope you can help me with. I will be starting a RN program in the fall. I also go accepted into their bridge program to an university for a BSN. I was wondering if you recommend me going straight into the University BSN program or should I try getting a job as an RN and get my BSN degree online. My long term goal is to be a Nurse Practitioner.
