  1. It's probably the same consultant who makes the rules and regulations for Medicare/private insurance reimbursements. SMH.
  2. Meh, I guess I have the face of nurse ratchet because even though I'm a medium brown girl working in a predominantly caucasian area I've yet to have a patient be verbally disrespectful or abusive towards me in any manner either regarding their care or my race. I know I've been very lucky so far.
  3. I do the exact same thing! Hahaha! If he's in pain (excruciating pain) and if I'm in the mood to be his "nurse" I give him the strongest pain med (sugar pill) and he instantly feels better.
  4. Unfortunately trying not get caught showing affection is what makes the whole situation exciting at work and outside work the excitement fizzles out. Good luck if you decide to ask the girl out.
  5. And CC management just like she did.
  6. RN prerequisites and school is tough, but if you're passionate about nursing let that be what fuels you to become a nurse. Most nothing is impossible in this world. Just read here in AN all the trials and tribulations many of us went through and made it. Whatever you decide, Buena suerte.
  7. Word of the day for me. Never heard it before. SMH caray.
  8. Red Bull and The XX's Intro. It helped through those long study sessions.
  9. Ignore that nurse. She's a rat. As long as you do your job well she's worthless to you. Don't stress about her.
  10. Wha?!!!! No man I would've called them out right there and then. I would've asked what the hell were they thinking doing that in the break room sink.
  11. "Buttercup" poof...... I hate that term. Just saying........
  12. What the freak? Parabens? I'm too lazy to google the word. I just wasted my time reading this insignificant thread. Meh. I'm out.
  13. Chuck Taylors work for me. I have bought expensive Nike shoes that tore my feet up but with Converse shoes my feet don't hurt at all during my shift. I recently did a shift with Toms shoes and felt like a ballerina walking with them all day and my feet were happy. Both are very cheap.
  14. I would have ripped into her a long time ago for being lazy. Sorry not the best advice but people like her make me angry. I have no mercy with lazy.
  15. You can never care too much IMO. As a nurse I believe we should be compassionate. The day my job becomes an automatic, non feeling job will be the day I will quit nursing.
