No PPE, no me. Being asked to wear one mask all day is not that big deal. Before? Fool managers were all up into us to change our masks constantly between patients even though there were not coughed or contaminated on the outside at all. I always thought it was a waste of money to do so.

Unions protect the lazy, incompetent and stupid. Why would I want to be associated with that?! Besides, having an antagonistic relationship with your employer is vile and unhealthy. If a hospital is supposedly poorly staff or whatever, leave the job. Go to one where you want to be there. Keep doing that till you go where you have a friendly, mutually productive and respectful relationship with your employer.

If you have a better plan for when you thought to yourself something along the lines of the following: "Where were the parents?" "I feel for those kids." "Why are they having children when they cannot even take care of themselves?" "Crazy." I can accept that my idea may be a bit out there, but honestly, the buddies I have shared this with tend to agree. Their gut reaction was, "why should we fund abortion?" etc. I told them, an abortion is what, a couple thousands bucks vs. the hundreds of thousands dollars not to mention the untold incalculable crime the odds say these kids will invariable will commit. My whole point is, yes, I am completely for people's right to bear and carry arms. It saddens me a bit though that we live in a society that people feel they must arm themselves to protect themselves. You are funny. . .! But I think the term, "pro-choice" is disingenuous. Because, a pro-life person will say, "you made your choice when you chose to have sex now you have to deal with the consequences." I can see the logic in that sentiment, but my issue if a person is going to act like an animal and not able to control their hormones, treat them as such and allow them to abort an unwanted fetus the way we control pet populations. As an aside, and off topic, but I have had the following discussion with buddies and most all love it! SO, my health care plan would be, abortion anytime anywhere no questions with cases involving a minor we keep the DNA evidence for going after what may be a predator rapist out there. Better yet, the government will pay the gal to have the abortion. A few hundred bucks. Even better, if the woman opts to get sterilized, we pay her a few thousand dollars with a graduated decrease till the woman hits menopause. With men? We pay them a couple thousand dollars to get free sterilization. We would have to tattoo a small symbol on the perineum though so that if they go to a doctor to reverse it, the doctor will not be legally allowed to do so until the guy reimburses the government for the sterilization procedure and money. Such information should also be in a medical chart, but just in case the tattoo. I subscribe to Malthusian economics and think this is a beautiful plan (though I know it may need a few tweaks, etc). Talking it over with buddies, they think I should run for office. Just think, in a generation, we can literally turn this country around without hurting anyone but "helping them." Anyone who has seen that movie "Idiocracy" would know, my plan has merit.

I am all for gun ownership. Any law abiding citizen should be allowed to own weapon that law enforcement has. The obvious exceptions being military grade weapons on par with tanks, jets, aircraft carriers, nuclear missiles, etc. That said, the argument I favor most that shows why crime rates have gone down over the past 40 years is abortion. The Donohue-Levitt Hypothesis is an economic study that analyzes this phenomena. Basically, who are most likely to commit crime? People from single mother households. Prison population data supports this. Who typically has abortion? Single pregnant women. I am 100% pro abortion and this is my strongest argument in favor of it. In terms of mental health, I think a woman with near zero financial resources or support has to be crazy to have a kid. The kid grows up crazy, etc. . .a vicious cycle. Abortion puts an end to that and nips the criminal literally at the bud and prevents future victims from manifesting.

For my part, I think that CNAs and MAs who do this because being a CNA and MA may not be prestigious enough. As one of the posters said, it is about teamwork. They should be proud to be CNAs and MAs. I recall I was house sitting for my brother, and he is a big shot super rich dude with a huge home, etc. And I had a great time doing it! I remember friends of mine saying, "Do you tell these girls that this is your house?" I said, "Why would I do that?! Why would I lie? The truth is good enough." The truth should be good enough. But again, people insecure. After reading all these posts, my suggestion if you have to deal with one of these people, approach them. Let them know initially that they are a valued team member. They are unique and one of the best at what they do and should be proud of it. That you agree that they are underpaid and under appreciated. But that they cannot refer to themselves as nurses because it is a legal and liability issue. You may add by challenging them, are you embarrassed by your job title? Or ask if they want to be a nurse you can encourage them to find outlets that can work with their schedule and budget to become one.

If I passed the NCLEX-RN, am I nurse or no? Serious question! I do not feel like one. I am the alpha male type, so I have been described. . .haha A male professor said, "You are a "murse."

To clarify, I have my RN license, having successfully passed the NCLEX-RN exam. Though, admittedly, new to nursing. Looking for that first year of nursing experience. After that, I do not know what I am going to do. I have had so many licenses in my life, it should make a person weep I have yet to find my niche. EMT, insurance, commodities, chiropractic, substitute teacher credentialing, etc. . . In the end, for myself, I do not feel like a nurse. I do not think even after a couple of years doing it I will feel like a nurse. I have had to varied a career history to pin myself as anything specific. I think it goes back to when I was a kid. I learned a word. "Dilettante." I wanted to be a dilettante. A jack of all trades, master of none.

Also, if a person calls themselves a nurse, and it is illegal to do so, give a warning. Happens again, report them. And they should be terminated. I find it hard to believe any healthcare facility would risk lawsuits or other repercussions to keep a person on board who is doing something illegal. But overall, if a person does that in their private social life who cares. . . I would not associate with them, but I could not care less about them.

I tend to disagree about the physician part. I was a chiropractor in Oregon and a chiropractor can call themselves, "Chiropractic physician." Or "Physician" but it has to be abundantly clear in advertisements the person calling themselves a physician is a chiropractic physician.

I am in the minority then. I accept it. But again, if it is a safety and/or legal issue, I agree with the majority, if not. . .who cares because to me it is a sign of insecurity to care.

I reiterate, unless it is a safety and/or legal issue, which should be nipped at the bud . . . who cares! I am a chiropractor, unfortunately, but leads me to this point. A lot of chiropractors, vast majority actually, refer to themselves as"Doctors." Even when I when I was in chiropractic school, I knew I was not going to become a "doctor." I told them we are becoming glorified, well paid hairstylists! I was only referred to as doctor with my first name only and only in the office. Outside of the office? No way. But the point I am trying to make is, to me, it is a sign of insecurity for chiropractors to call themselves doctors. And we are NOT doctors. Not real ones by any measure anyways. That said, do MDs care that a chiropractor call him or herself a doctor?! From my experience, no. The only MDs, which I can count on one hand, I saw that care are the ones who are doing poorly in practice or are not very good doctors themselves, etc. Because they are insecure. So for me, be more secure! Who cares if they call themselves a nurse.

I think the reason the petition is not going anywhere. . .look who is president?! Think he cares? Think he wants to pay attention to the petition or play golf? Pay attention to the petition or send text messages with some beautiful Hollywood actress. Seriously. Know what I think? I think many regulations should be eliminated so a group of nurses can gather up money and support much more easily to open up their own hospital and pay nurses what they think nurses deserve and charge patients what they think they should be charged. As it stands now, big business LOVES regulations. Because it destroys most any competition from even materializing with all the regulations in place.

Who cares! If they are just calling themselves nurses, who cares. If they are calling themselves a Registered Nurse or Licensed Vocational/Practical Nurse, I believe that is a legal issue now and should be nipped immediately. Again, if not calling themselves an RN, who cares. . . 3 simple words I try to live by, "let it go."

Dude. Fight the thing till the end! NO diversion or expungement. Just fight it, fight it, fight it. It will cost you, but that will be your punishment for doing something so toxic. It never crosses my mind to steal anything in my life. Because if I do, even if it is few cents, my life could be literally over. Fight that. Get a lawyer who can. Keep shopping around till you can. For my part, I will only use a female lawyer. Ideally, an attractive or normal looking gal. . If she is the ugly or fat, it might as well be a man.

Yes. Actually on the website looking for a position. But I may go back into medical device sales. Which is what I did before nursing school and what brought me to becoming a nurse. I had to deal with nurses, MDs, scrub techs, PAs, etc. . . I thought I would get a professional, a real professional, degree which for me was to become an RN. I have not been working as a chiropractor for 5 years now.

YES! They are scumbags. To be clear, chiropractic as a healthcare tool is great and beneficial for conservative management of musculoskeletal conditions, along the lines of what a physical therapist treats. However, as a profession?! Scumbags. I lack the vocabulary without using profanity to share what I really think of them. I hate the profession with a passion and wish to God I never heard of it let alone waste many of my youthful years becoming one. It is a joke of a profession and my prediction, in 10 years the number of chiropractic schools will dwindle to 5 or 6 (I believe there are 15 right now).

Not only am I an RN, I was a chiropractor in my previous life. Know what kind of scumbags are in the chiropractic profession which had me realize the field is toxic and have me feeling like a Bernie Madoff victim? There are numerous examples and I may write a book one day, but for this topic, the one kind out there that predominates the profession. . .the anti-vaccine crowd. These people preach against vaccination Looking at the historical context of vaccination, the population of the world has exploded since vaccination became common place starting over 200 years ago with the father immunology, Edward Jenner. I believe it is because of him that technological advances have been occurring at much more rapid rate prior to his work because intelligent, gifted people who would have otherwise been taken away by disease were able to live and share their gifts with the world. I may concede, there may be issues with vaccination. My understanding it has to do with thiomersal, the mercury preservative in vaccines, and not with the vaccine itself. I do not like getting the flu vaccine myself. I feel crappy for a couple days, but then feel fine after. For the greater good, I suffer through it. To me, vaccination is a hallmark of civilization.
