Hi everyone, I just need clarification here. I am a Canadian nurse. Just applied for California licence by endorsement. I have a social security number and have taken my nclex. I did also apply for the CGFNS. I am not sure if I need the CGFNS at all. I am told I would if I was doing travel nursing but not sure if I want to do any travel nursing I want to apply to hospitals directly. Please any advice?
  7. Yes! Certified crazy! The grass is not always greener on the other side. Take a vacation or something. Do something to get your mojo back. This is a good job you have love. Dont do something you will regret.
  8. Oh dear[emoji22]so sorry!
  9. Thanks pixie [emoji4]
  10. From experience all nursing requires some sort of psych training to be honest. I find that after working psych, every other area of nursing is easy breezy!
  11. I meant HIRED! Lol
  12. Do you have be be a citizen to be fired a VA?

  16. Take this as a learning experience. Your inexperienced friends should be able to know what they are talking about before telling you to sue. The fact is you have no case! You were lucky to get off easy! Your nursing licence is no joke so next time be do things proper.
  17. I had forgotten I had done a shift trade with a coworker on the day I was supposed to be off work. I was called 45 minutes later by my unit asking where I was...I realized my mistake, got dressed quickly, drove like a maniac and got to work. I felt somethings was not right and wasn't sure what it was till I realized much later I forgot to put on undies. I went into the storage room and borrowed a pair of patient's disposable undies. Those things are uncomfortable. I walked like a duck a day. Never ever forgot my undies after this experience.
  18. Congrats girl[emoji4]
  19. Find another job. Give your current job a very very short notice and "STEP"!
  20. Pardon the typos***
  21. Lorazepam (Advan) is an anti-anxiety medication and could also be used to treat seizures. Many people (mire than you know) do take that...in some cases including nurses. No one will penalize you for taking Lorazepam! It is not their business to go into your confidential medical history to see if you have a prescription or not. You are worried for nothing! Stay Calm and get ready to start tour BScN program. [emoji4]
  22. I thought Kaplan was the best. I had to do the online class as well. I have heard good things about Uworld too
