Would you consider your time In LPN school as experience?
I would try Homecare agencies. They are more flexible with willing to hire new grads. I would also try ltc facilities. Also I've learned you just gotta jump into it. Remember the Medication rights. Also keep a notebook and a pen to write down important info about your patients One more thing.... get your own Vital Sign equipment. It will help you to not waste time searching for equipment on your shift as well as not be able to assess your patient accurately.

Whats up with Admissions being irritated by questions?
So hello all nurses...... I just have a bone to oick. And want to know if others have been in this same position. I have been looking to lpn to rn bridges for a maybe 6 months now and realized that all programs have different requirements. My question is why do the staff, admissions for example..... sound a little flustered when you question the requirements of the program. If you are already a nurse most people want the most noncomplicated way to finish up with their RN. Or at least the one that will be most relevant to them and their situation. I feel like all information to those most detailed way. (Hours of the program, etc should be avaliable online or avaliable upon request. I mean at the end of the day this is something someone is investing their time and money in. Thoughts? Comments?

LPN OR BSN
Hey everyone, I am so confused about what I should do at this point with my nursing career. I have been a CNA for 7 years and at this point im making ok money, however my ultimate goal has to always been return back to school. I have a fair amount of pre requsites done however I need more for most schools. Ive been debating about going into a lpn program or going straight for my bsn. I have two kids and I am a newly divorcee' I am in the pa area

Heavily Burdened
Hello all, I am currently finishing the last of my prereq's and am trying to fight daily discouragement. Let me start by saying I am a 26 year old mom of two, wife and currently working pt as a CNA. I was accepted into a 4 year nursing program but decided not to attend after being falsely informed about what year I would begin in when I would of started attending classes there. So I decided to do the most affordable way and go the community college route. In the meantime I discouraged sometimes do to the time I know it will take for me to finish school as well as thinking about how far I would be by now if I i had begun a few years ago like I intended to. Life happened multiple times so it has delayed my progress. Now that Im on a somewhat right track I still feel hit with issues with childcare, financial issues, etc. I just wanna hear from some mothers that have been in my shoes or are currently in my shoes. How did you stay strong through the uncertain days?

Montgomery County Community College (PA)

Did they tell you that you have a shot for spring?

I feel like I've made a mistake signing this contract.
i understand you disliking the state but it would be very wise to stay. Maybe move to the outskirts and just commute. You cant beat a job paying for ir whole schooling plus giving you a job. You gotta also think about the previous debt you have as well. Good luck whichever u choose!

financial aid question
in my experience what you have in your account is not really factored. In fafsa doesnt ask for your account numbers.

Has anyone attended is currently attending Lasalle University in Philadelphia?
Hi so I am considering switching to Lasalle Uniersity however I have viewed their NCLEX passing rates and they dont seem to be the best. Wanted to know how present or previous students approved of their program.

Thinking about switching schools
So I am in need of some advice. I am an inspiring nurse who was already to go to a 4 year school but at the last moment am having second thoughts. For one I am a transfer student from a community college so I was instructed by one of this schools admission counselors to take certain classes. Then as time closer to start the program was told that those credits for those classes wouldnt transfer. Also this school is very expensive and really does not offer the best fininacial aid help to their students. 3rd I was told that since i was a transfer student my degree would be 3 years however it seems like they still have me down as a freshman. There is another school I have in mind but their deadline passed. I have thought about staying at the community school and completed their prerequsites and applying for that school next year. They offer more financial aid also its closer. Aside from when i start i would be an actual junior.
