MD license by endorsment
I went today to the MD BON (took so long and in really hole in the wall place). The receptionist wasn't friendly to begin with. She told me they no longer accept walk-in for endorsement and had to fill online. I luckily had my fingerprints done prior. So came back to my place and filled online. It was a lot easier than driving down there. Crossing my fingers to have it approved as soon as possible.

RN looking for ICU/CCU job and Moving to MD
There is such a difference regarding job application form (online) in MD. Immediately after the submission of application, it turns yellow and goes away in the next day or so. Anyone has experience with that?

RN looking for ICU/CCU job and Moving to MD
Hi all, I am ICU/CCU RN currently working in Trauma hospital. i have more than 5 years of experience in ICU/CCU/Tele/Med/Surg combined. I am planning to move to east coast although seems crazy to my friends in west coast. I am looking into Trauma hospital here in Gaithersburg/Baltimore area. I applied few jobs online (boy those application takes a long time). Is there any short cut way I can contact Nursing recruiters or go to the Unit? I dont know anything about MD hospitals. I will appreciate feedback as well as coming to visit MD from August 5th-13th. So would like to meet the hiring managers. Thank you

case management certificate
First of all, you need to be eligible to sit down for CCM exam....for that you must have 2 years of experience as independent Case manager or 1 year of experience under certified case manager....you can look up the critierias at http://www.ccmcertification.org. I am also trying to sit down for the exam for month of August.....wish me best of luck :)

Case Management Hurdle
Hi!!! Everyone, I am a new Case Manager in the Pediatric Sub acute Facility with no one to orient me at this time. I am trying to educate myself, but have been unsuccessful to find the information pertinent to Peds Subacute Case Management. I feel frustrated while dealing with the Insurance as well as getting authorization. As I am in CA, I would love to hear and really appreciate to get some suggestion regarding the baby steps towards the Case Management. Thank you. Sunzzi

Best Placement Agency for U.S
Yeah...I agree with Suzanne in this matter. I have processed and paid everything from my pocket..well of course from my dad's pocket. But the agency I was working with handed me the contract which was suspicious...it had mentioned abt sign-on bonus but when asked to them..they told me it is going for the attorney fee. But I didnt feel comfortable when I see that I have to pay for the lawyer and visa fee. So..I turned them down..yeah why not...coz I have done everything uptill now..and I am looking for the sponser. I agree that its very tempting to just have a job and lots of foreign nurses think that oh well..its just a two-year contract. Well, again think that we have the education and we did all the hard work..why should we give them our hard-earned money..no way...its not me.. Having said that...I am still contacting every hospital and asking them if they file petition for foreign nurses or not. One HR called me after seeing my resume and scheduled me for the interview...its on monday Wish me a Luck... As well as BEST of Luck to all Nurses to achieve their dreams.:balloons: SUNZZI

my cp order will expire and cg has no reply yet, pls help
Same thing...happened to me a year ago..I called them couple of times...and finally they cancelled it but take a nice chunk of money as cancellation fee. I have horrible experience with CGFNS. May be they are the only one dealing with Foreign nurses..thats why.. call waiting time is so long as well as you cant find the appropriate answer for the delays. Sunzzi

Too young to be an RN ?!
Its really common in our country to start working in young age..becoz we have to pass 10th grade and directly enrolled in the nursing programme after passing entrance exam. So..dun worry about what other ppl think....go ahead;) in the line of ur duty..eheheheh Sunzzi

Taking the nclex 2nd time
yeah...I went via the same route. Gosh..when I saw FAIL in the NCSBN, I was really shaken coz I have been always straight A student in my school and college life. May be I was overconfident regarding Nclex exam. I had never seen the failure in my life. hey, u know what, thats why people says..Learning by experience. Yeah, I learned and learned it in the hard way. The second time I took time and studied as well as followed Suzanne's study guide. And I passed. Ok..enough crap abt me. Best of Luck to u Mistiblue.
