  1. I am paying about 3.5k a semester. Tuition and fee wise my tuition will be 14k for last two years of my BSN program. 20k a year sounds like a lot. I think 10k isn't to bad for a year after your scholarships are figured in. I will graduate with zero debt because of a little help from my parents and my savings/working.
  2. In some parts of the country there is. Everyone in my schools last graduating class got jobs right away.
  3. You have my prayers and condolences! Very sad.
  4. I thought that was odd also. Every BSN program I have heard of requires Chem.
  5. I got developmental disabilities nurse.
  6. I second this. This is how I studied for the math portion.
  7. Congrats!
  8. Psych nursing interests me a lot. I only just start nursing school in the fall, so I am sure I will be learning a lot more about all the areas.

I have this app on my phone called "nursing essentials". It has a list of the most common meds and lots of other very useful information.
  10. I personally found A&P the most challenging...although I still made a B or higher in both. Don't fret about the occasional B. You have a fantastic overall GPA.
  11. My school has a list of sites and you can tell your instructor your preference, but it's up to them in the end where you get put.
  12. Congrats! Welcome to the journey.
  13. I am sure some programs are easier than others. All you can do is adjust after you get a feel on how tough your program is going to be.
  14. It sounds like you did everything you could have done. Being a student, there wasn't much you could have done besides informing the aide and your instructor. I would have done the exact same thing you did. It's in their hands after that if they want to take action on it. Good job!
  15. I would respectfully decline if I was you. It is the moral thing to do...it's also not hard to learn APA if you take the time.
  16. The official ATI book was a lifesaver for me. I did some extra work online for the English section.
  17. Already contacted BON after I made the thread and they said it's absolutely no big deal and I will be fine.
  18. I took Anatomy and Micro in the same semester...it wasn't bad.
  19. LOL, yep. She actually used that exact term. I know it does take a great deal of time.
  20. I ended up just calling my states BON and they told me it's no big deal...my application will fly through.
  21. Just got accepted into a BSN program not to long ago and had to do a background check. The only thing it showed was a ticket for no seat belt in 2008. I have a like three speeding tickets all together but they didn't show up. The one other violation I have is driving a motorcycle on a permit without having a licensed driver over 21 following me when I was 18 (I am 24 now). I seriously doubt this would cause me any problems, but just wanted to make sure?
  22. Yes! These will be the two best resources you will have. Just gotta put in the time to really study it all.
  23. You need to get a tutor and go to the tutor everyday if possible. You need to be also studying everyday. I would also recommend retaking some classes to raise your GPA. I know some programs that have a minimum of 2.5, so that can be a goal. Best of luck!
  24. Waiting on the acceptance letter was one of the most depressing times of my life. The feeling when it arrives and you find out that you are accepted is incredible.
