Pearsonvue trick 2015
newRNpa, I misread your comment originally, thanks for clearing that up. I have heard of a few cases where the PVT did not work, and the person got charged again. Did you receive a refund?

I am sorry for the misunderstanding. My comment was not directed toward newRNpa.

Pearsonvue trick 2015
I used the trick in late Jan as well, with positive results :) Naigem, you have to complete the whole process for the trick to work. There are plenty of instructions on the Student>NCLEX boards. (Also, I hope you didn't put false credentials on your username)

pittsburgh- applying without nclex?
You can apply for your temporary license prior to taking your boards. Most hospitals will hire you with work restrictions until you pass. If you fail your first attempt, your temporary license will be revoked.

PA License issuing
Well, I checked this morning at 9am, and nothing. I send them an email, and they replied with my license number and told me to verify it online at the state licensing website. Its official!!

PA License issuing
Yes, I have looked up my license. I keep checking the site every morning around 10am. I am looking at the PA licensing page, and it shows my status as Pending. I have the checklist completed. I did pay for the Pearson Vue Quick results as well and I passed. Its been 2 weeks now that I officially passed.

NCSBN Review, Worth it?
I used the KAPLAN review course only. It really helped me solidify my existing knowledge and gave me a few tips. I passed my NCLEX on the first try with 75 questions. I would say any additional study material you can get your hands on would be worth it. This is your future career you are playing with, and every little bit helps. Good Luck!

PA License issuing
So quick question. I passed my NCLEX on Wednesday Jan 21st and am still waiting for my license to be issued. I have heard that Pennsylvania had very quick turn around times, so i didn't think I would still be waiting today for my license. I have the checklist completed on my apply for a license page. Anyone else still waiting? I am getting antsy.

Kaplan scores
My Qbank score were very similar to yours. Anywhere between 50-65%. I didn't do too many of the Qbank questions, but when I did, I did them in increments of 25, that way I had more time to go through the rationales and look things up. I feel like I remembered more that way then taking a ton of questions. I passed the NCLEX last week with 75 questions. Good luck! You CAN do it!

Pearson Vue Trick--trick no more
I guess it all depends on how lucky you get when you try:***:

Pearson Vue Trick--trick no more
Not true. I took my test last wednesday, and tried the PVT over 10 times (My nerves were getting to me). I kept getting the "Good" Pop-up, and was not charged once for my attempts.

Does everyone feel like they bomb nclex after taking it?
Oh yea. I felt like I bombed it hard after the exam. I did the PVT, which showed up to be good, but still refused to believe it. I payed for the quick results as soon as i could and found out that I passed. I slept the best that night that I had in over 2 weeks!

NCLEX -RN in 2 days!!! Prayers please!
Good luck! I just passed mine, so I know the anxiety. Do whatever you would normally do before a big test in school! For me, that meant hitting my notes hard the night before.

NCLEX, My story.
Well, I figured it was the right thing to do, so here it is.... I started nursing school in Fall of 2010. My freshman year wasn't exactly the best as far as grades go, but hey, I was just figuring out how to "college". I joined the ARMY ROTC program in the spring of 2011, and I knew I had figured out what I wanted to do with life. Anyway, I began to get my act together from that point on. My freshman year GPA was a 2.9, fast forward to senior year, 3.4. I had gotten it as high as I could. I had to take an extra semester due to scheduling conflicts, but the extra semester I had no nursing classes. I was completely done with nursing, just taking some gen. eds (Philosophy, American Civ.) I knew that being out of nursing classes was going to kill me in the long run. I bought the NCLEX Mastery App for my iPhone in the summer and tried to keep up with questions. Sometimes, i would go weeks without doing any. In December, I knew I had to get my butt back into gear with studying. I wanted to take the NCLEX in January so that I could get a duty station and get away from Pennsylvania. I found out that the ARMY would pay for a $500 Kaplan review course, so of course I was going to take it. I ended up taking the Classroom Anywhere online course. I learned so much from the class, but in the end it kind of felt like a waste. The Kaplan tree worked well, for kaplan questions. I tried applying them to my app and didnt have similar results. The Qbank was nice i guess, but the amount of typos and incorrection answers pushed me away. It was free for me, so no harm done. I scheduled the test 2 weeks after my Kaplan course, and I have never been so miserable in my life. I stayed up studying (and burning myself out) every day, every hour, and every second. Bad choice. My girlfriend (who lives with me) was annoyed, I was irritable, and nothing was going well. My scores on the Qbanks were in the 50's, and I was getting certain that I was going to fail. Test day arrived, and I had to drive an hour to the testing site. I get there, expecting to have to wait another half hour since I was early, but I was shuffled into a square room where 4 other people were testing. I go through the instructions, and begin my test. I blanked. I started going through them, and I seemed to get one after another SATA. It became apparent that I wasn't going to pass. My test stopped at exactly 75 questions, I raised my hand, made some jokes with the test monitor, and walked out feeling defeated. I rushed home, and looked up how to do the PVT, and bravely attempted it. I passed? The trick was showing that I passed. I didn't believe it. I tried again after 2 hours, then 4, then 6 hours. Finally I tried at 24 hours, all the same results. I still refused to believe it. I waited and checked my states licensing site, nothing. 48 hours later my girlfriend and I decided to pay for quick results. It confirmed it. I had passed. A giant weight lifted off of my shoulders. We both literally cried. My life was just about to begin. Our life. I am still waiting for my license from the state, since they do not post on weekends. But I have conquered the nclex. It feels like a 4.5 years war has just ended. Victory was mine.

did the pvt trick
I took the NCLEX on the same day as you, and am still waiting for the official results. I tried the PVT numerous times since then, but I receive the "good" pop-up. After reviewing many of the forums on the site, I have noticed that the PVT does not work for everyone. Hopefully you are one of the cases and that you passed. Good luck!

Pearson VUE vs. State NCLEX results
Hey everyone! I am sure this question has been asked before but I cannot seem to find anything about it. I just took my NCLEX yesterday, Jan. 21, and got shut off at 75 questions. I immediately drove home and tried the pearson trick every 2 hours, which followed the lines of passing the exam. Nevertheless, I am worried out of my mind. I had a BUNCH of SATA and I usually do not do so well with them. Anyway, I wanted to know which site posts the official results sooner? I am from Pennsylvania and I hear that they usually post information in 48 hours. Pearson VUE also has an area where it says status: Results not available.Which site will show my results sooner?

Taking NCLEX for first time!!
You have to believe in yourself! I took mine today, and finished with 75 questions. The pearson trick has given me high hopes that I passed, but now I have to wait for the official results. I know people say not to study the day before, or the morning before, but I did it in school and it really worked to calm my nerves prior to walking into the building. I arrived a half hour early and sat in my car studying. Good luck, FUTURE RN's in the house!
