Capstone UTA
I agree Capstone is my least favorite course, very vague, too many discussion post which require citations, journal assignments with key points?? I don't get that yet and then the powerpoint and papers to write. I am definitely not feeling confident anymore. If you read this let me know how you did !! thanks Lj

2017 CURRENT RN to BSN Online Students
I see you got your BSN, wondered if you could tell me how Capstone was for you?? I just started it and the directions seem very vague. Journal topic, key points, discussion boards with all these citations, powerpoint with presentation and APA paper. I am at the very end of the program, have done well all A's except for Research but now feel a meltdown coming due to Capstone. Any advice?? Lj

Nursing electives
I wanted to be done end of this year, but I was non-effective in getting my certification (missed the passing grade by apparently 3 stinking points) and now cannot graduate in December. uggghhh. I had to email advising team about my grad charge fees they are telling me is now due. I asked could I be dropped from the graduate thing until spring. haha. I was told there was a way I could still finish by end of year if I took Co-op with Capstone !! Hello, I almost jumped in with both feet for that, but then got to thinking about my other obligations in life and there is really no way can I do that. Are you going to take something concurrently with your capstone?? I will hopeful join you in January for Co-op and then Capstone. Still may retake certification test, but have to wait 60 days and pay fee again, but my mind is very old and I just want to be done, no I am on the fence.

Easiest and Toughest Classes In UT Arlington RN-BSN Program
I was contemplating taking co-op (for my last nursing upper level elective) but when I saw you wrote "journaling that is graded hard" LOL I am having second thoughts. The choices for our elective seem very unfair. I took med terminology, ridiculously difficult and of no use long term. I actually wanted to take Psychiatric Nursing which is an upper level course and would benefit me in my career path, but nope not allowed. Very disappointing.

Nursing electives
Hey tay, Research is the worst class ever !! uggghhh Management not so bad... and as far as those hyphen things they WAS on my test !!! that's why I really didn't like it. I have been in nursing since 92 and I thought med terminology, yeah be easy no prob, haha wrong..... and not sure regarding due dates on Saturday but that is how all the classes are set up with the discussions due on Wednesday. I work every other weekend so Saturday due dates on my work weekend really hurt, not to mention I work 2-10pm. I truly only like capstone except have to take another nursing elective, geezz I don't think that is right since I took med term, why can't I take art or something fun ? lol anyway guess I will go ahead take Co-op to finish elective up but won't be able to do capstone till January, regardless.

Nursing electives
these are choices for the upper level nursing electives through UTA RN-BSN online program. Co-op is cooperative nursing work which involves your employer. I did not take Legacy so I do not really know what you would learn, just heard that it was time consuming, writing more papers I would guess.

Nursing electives
Hey Jackson...you would think med terminology would be a breeze, right just by the name of the class, especially if you have been in nursing for years, haha that class was horrible..... there was only 4 exams, which if you mess up on any of them that can drop your GPA, they are timed and I went literally down to the last second to finish them, it's basically dissecting words, what's the prefix, root, comb, suffix, etc..... then defining what each of those mean, you may think that's easy but it's not. Wasn't for me anyways, I was going to take co-op starting date of 9/25, but dropped it, instead will attempt to pass certification test for last elective. I have heard legacy is time consuming, so if given the choice between those 3, I would do the co-op !!! Good luck to you :)

Psychiatric–Mental Health Nursing Certification with the ANCC
Hey esipbisn...know this is way late from when you posted your question, so I am wondering if you have taken your exam yet? I got my ATT within just a few days via email then letter in mail. I need this certification for my work and as my last nursing elective for my BSN program. I plan to take test this week (end of Septermber). The studying part has been very challenging for me. I find it hard to read through these books. I have worked in psych for 11 years and I think that makes it harder to give the answers they actually want. Good luck to you.

General courses-Take at UTA online or local community college?
Community college for general courses is what I would recommend, for me it was much cheaper and from what I had heard from some of my fellow peers who had already used this program the difficulty level is higher at UTA. FYI I have been interweaving my general courses along with the nursing courses, as you are not required to have all general completed prior to starting the program. I have tried to do 2 UTA nursing classes each semester since they are only 5 weeks long(most of them) along with a general course to help expedite my degree. I had not done any of my history, govern, maths and even liked a literature, so mine has been a process.. uggghh. good luck to you.

UTA AP - RN-BSN program and online pre-req
Well as you can see I haven't been much on the site, I have now completed both Governments and working on one History now but all through my local community college. I had a set back in fall 2014 semester and didn't take anything so I have fell behind. I am on #3 nursing course and still lack my maths and another literature. I will probably be 60 before I can finish at this rate, but oh so hard to work full time, have some part of a social life and do school. What was I thinking??

Working as RN and taking RN-BSN UTA course
I am currently in the RN to BSN online with UTA and I must say prepare to have no leisure time if you work full time as well. I am also concurrently taking some general courses through local college and I am overwhelmed to say the least. I find there is no time to go to the casinos anymore which I guess may be a blessing in disguise. lol

UTA AP - RN-BSN program and online pre-req
Thanks for the info, yes I still need the history, literature and governments as well. It's gonna be a long process, and I may try the community colleges for some of these general courses, should have already done so, but I procrastinated. LOL.

UTA AP - RN-BSN program and online pre-req
I am currently enrolled with UTA AP RN-BSN online program. I have taken Prof Nursing and Tech Writing. Can anyone give me advise on if it's a good idea or not to take other pre-req courses through them or use a community college, related to price and difficulty of the general courses? I am about to sign up for Algebra or Literature, don't want to make a complete fool of myself. I like about 7 gen classes, this was a mid-life crisis decision to return to school. lol. Technical Writing class was pretty tough. FYI - I am way to old to be going back to school, but I like a challenge and am management bound hopefully!!!
