  1. To whomever this applies to, I am taking NURS 4465 (Care of Vulnerable Populations) at UTA starting 8/11/14. Would like to know if anyone else out there is taking this class at the same time, so that I can have a 'buddy': someone to help clarify stuff and to vent to. Heard this class is hard, I got through research having 2 'buddies'....SUPER helpful!! I am a good student (As in 10 of 12 classes so far) and used to school (this is my 4th degree) so hoping I'll be just as helpful to anyone else taking this class. FOR ALL THOSE THAT HAVE TAKEN NURS 4465: I'll gladly take any advice you may have on how to best prep for class, what to study, and how not to pull my hair out. PS this is my 3rd to last class in the program, I'm glad to offer others advice on other classes. My strengths are study habits and how to write papers. Did a 42 page thesis some time back, can give feedback on writing a super comprehensive paper with much less time spent in general due to the strategy I've adopted Thanks so much!!!! Good luck to all of you! And as a work of encouragement to all other hardworking nurses/ students.....take it from a 10+ nurse veteran.....don't worry so much about your grade in a given class, focus on passing and obtaining the info. you will need in your job as an RN.....hospitals and employers do not focus on grades, and school is stressful enough as it it!! :-) Paris
  2. Hey girl I'm glad to hear your response about Vulnerable. I start the class next week (8/11/14). Any advice you can give me about the class to make it less stressful/more tolerable??? I'm not the type that has to get an A+, just wanna pass w/ the least amount of stress. Thanks!! Laura
