  1. Short staffed. And a cafeteria meal voucher that went unused because of aforementioned gift.
  2. I'm on Paxil for anxiety/stress, 37.5 mg QOD. The only side effect I've noticed was inability to orgasm/ deceased desire. At 37.5 QD, it stomped a mudhole in my sex life. I cut it back to QOD and I'm fine. Saved my sanity and probably my spouse's life. Lol
  3. Ditto all if the above. Prep for lecture - study material prior to lecture so it's not the first time you're seeing it. I've also found downloading NCLEX prep apps are helpful for studying. I'm using NCLEX mastery and it's broken down into subjects with rationales for answers. It's great for unexpected down time!
  4. It's not necessarily that they all fail. Sometimes life gets in the way, they realize nursing isn't for them. That being said, my class of 19 has whittled down to 6, with 2 more semesters to go. So far, I'd say the ones that have failed didn't put in the time/effort, didn't know how to study, or we're poor test takers. My advice to you would be stay dedicated and ask for help sooner rather than later.

The level of math would depend on the degree. I'm currently in an ADN program that required zero math prerequisites and six weeks of dosage calculation. I'm no mathelete and it was a cinch. That being said, college algebra and statistics are required prereqs in the BSN programs around here.
