Whether or not I believe in Intelligent Design, I allow for the possibility of some of evolution being possible. But what I find completely unbelievable is Abiogenesis. I find no credibility to the idea that life began from nonliving material. That idea was disproved almost 200 years ago by Louis Pasteur. (This post was intended to express my own opinion and not to discredit or bash anybody else's opinion)

Just because this particular screen name has only been in use since Feb. does not mean that I have not been a member for a few years. I have posted enough information under my "normal" screen name that I could possibly be identified by friends/co-workers/etc. so now I have a new screen name with absolutely no personally identifiable information so I can express opinions and share experiences without being identified.

And the union bigwigs will use your dues to pay themselves an outrageous salary, go on political junkets, and to donate to their favorite political party whenever the members agree or not. Then when they decide that YOU have to strike, you do so for as long as they decide while receiving a pittance that will not pay your bills, meanwhile they are still collecting their full salaries while you are contemplating bankruptcy because you can't pay your bills.

Even though I grew up in the southern culture and call my female friends " darlin' " and " sweetheart ", I would never use terms of endearment on the floor.

Am I the only one who is just stymied by atheists who come on this board and yell about how they don't need a deity in order to be caring and compassionate, but then appear to lurk for no other reason but to bash any post by a christian. I have even seen a "Guide" attack a poster for something that was not even said in their post. I have seen posts deleted and members warned for personal attacks and (what on other boards would be considered) trolling, but apparently those rules are not enforced on this particular board. This board is called "Nursing and SPIRITUALITY"!! If you have ap roblem with SPIRITUALITY then go somewhere else!!

No, you're becoming a newbie hater" What I'm sick to death of are nurses that generalize about all students and all new nurses while seeming to revel in bashing anybody who would dare step into their unit with anything less than half the experience that they themselves possess. Yes, I have been forced to tolerate arrogant students and arrogant new nurses but I have proctored and/or worked with many that were attentive and were fully aware of what they knew and what they didn't.

I apologize if misunderstood the intent of your post, I took it to mean that you supported those people being DENIED hospital admission. BTW, the Death Panels are a little known addendum to the Obamacare bill. It allows the formation of panels of "experts" who would decide if certain patients should be denied healthcare (or even euthanized) because their care would not be "cost effective" or because they are not a productive member of society.

There is a BIG difference between a doc and a RT discussing what lab values might mean and a RT interpreting lab values for a patient or family. Even as nurses we have to be careful about telling a patient or family what lab values "mean", lest we step out of bounds and give our own medical diagnosis. IMHO, this RT is guilty of practicing outside their scope and should be disciplined for it.

Buck up! No one promised you that nursing school would be a tea party. You are learning to hold people's LIVES in your hands! They are not just going to let you skate by. Learn the material or change majors to something where a simple mistake will not kill somebody.

You can always do what I have done in the past when told I "have to" come in on a day off. Tell them that you are about half way through a bottle of Cuervo Especial and it is against policy to come to work inebriated.
