The program takes a lot of your time & dedication. I have a previous bachelor's degree (health management) & that program in NO WAY compares to the workload, content, & dedication of this nursing program (any program, really) I do believe you can have a social life but it would require a lot of discipline. Our scrubs are white tops & grey bottoms & all white shoes. I don't honestly believe they try to "weed" out students BUT if you aren't on top on your classwork, you will fail.

Retake a few pre-req's & work hard to get A's. Take or retake your TEAS or HESI. Then reapply to more than one program (ADN, BSN, & ABSN). Don't give up! Good luck!

Currently, I work PRN in registration at the local hospital. I absolutely love it! After I complete Fundamentals, I plan to switch to the clinical side.

This is my EXACT situation. I have a Bachelor of Heath Science & I have been accepted into an ADN program. I've thought about Fl when I complete my ADN but now learning that it's expensive...I think I'm changing my mind. Lol.

Is it true in GA, after your first semester of nursing school you can take the CNA certification exam? Also, is it true in GA, after your first year in nursing school you can sit for the NCLEX-PN? I've been looking for this information, but failed to find it.

I also start NS next month. Very nervous.

I am currently taking the Micro class online. But there is a Saturday lab. There is no way at Darton to take Micro without the on campus lab due to importance of your interaction with the Microbes & various other lab activities.

I'm applying for the Fall at Darton & won't have A&P 2 done either. The website states that preference is given to those that have both completed. I'm just gotta wing it. Lol. Hopefully, I do well enough on the TEAS they overlook that bc I am in A&P2 now, just won't be done by the 15tg

I actually have a Bachelor's of Health Science with an emphasis in Administration & I am currently working on a few pre-req's & applying for an ADN program for the fall. Personally, I wish I would have gotten my RN license first which would have been a better move for me financially & mentally. My advice to you would be to not create a bunch of debt for a degree that you honestly don't want. You can always get you ADN then BSN.
