  1. Hey if you guys want to pm me your info.....I will try to add you :-)
  2. YAY!!!! Congrats surgderm38! I'm in eHealth also. So exciting!
  3. Congratulations kenzieb!! YAY! Another eHealther :-) Homesteader, congrats on UMass! May be more expensive but in the long run it'll be worth it.
  4. I'm still kind of in shock
  5. Me too! Lexbeex you should make one if there isn't already one.
  6. I just got my letter!!! :-):-)
  7. I've done a bunch of classes online and I liked it because I could work around my schedule. Not sure how I'm feeling about for nursing classes but at this point I'll take it any way I can get it. :-)
  8. If you go to Student Services then click on display unofficial transcript it will show you!!!
  9. So for kicks I just went to degree works and my major CHANGED!!!!! I also checked my unofficial transcript and it was changed to Major: Nursing Major Concentration: Nursing eHealth Careers NB Now I just need the official letter so I can truly celebrate.... Has anyone else gotten into eHealth?
  10. I put in for both traditional and ehealth. Has anyone on this thread been accepted into the ehealth program yet?
  11. My major hasn't changed on degree works....so gonna just keep thinking good thoughts and hopefully I'm still in the running. Congrats again
  12. Did you get into traditional or the ehealth?
  13. Congratulations!! That's awesome for you guys! It would be great if they could just accept us all...
  14. Thanks for responding! I've finished my pre-reqs for the associates program that I applied to and I've also taken classes that will count towards a bachelors. I'm just finding it so difficult to get into a decent program. I guess my problem is that I feel like I've been taking classes forever and not getting anywhere. At this point in my life, I had figured I would be settled in my career, not fighting to get into a decent school so I could begin my career.
  15. I have been working on getting into a nursing program for a long time. Due to financial reasons I have only been able to take 1 pre-req a semester. I did apply to a nursing program for the fall 2014 which if accepted would lead me to my associates. My question is if I don't make it into this session, would it be worth it for me to work on my LPN instead and then try to get into a bridge program? I am interested in all sides of this. Thank you in advance for any help you can give me :-)
  16. http://www.gwc.maricopa.edu/class/bio201/histoprc/prac1q.htm Histology Lab Photo Quiz flashcards | Quizlet Try these websites. They helped me when I was in A&P last summer. Also, if you can get "A Brief Atlas of the Human Body" second edition ISBN # 9780805373738. They have it on Amazon. You can get a new one for around $10. It'll come in handy for your class. It has histology, bones, soft tissue. Good luck!
  17. I work in an er and the reasons people bring there kids in are often ridiculous. Don't get me wrong, we get some pretty sick kids that belong there but most of them don't. The thing I hear from the nurses the most is how the first thing the parents say when they walk in the room is "my son/daughter is hungry. don't you have any food for them." Total abuse of the system. I've been to the er exactly 3 times in my life and I'm almost 40. An er is for emergencies, not because you're child is hungry people!
  18. Not sure about the inpatient floors at the hospital I work at, but in the ED vitals are done on a patient a minimum of every 2 hours. More depending on their chief complaint and less if they are there for a mental health eval.
  19. Take a deep breath, throw a peppermint in your mouth and breath....don't overthink the questions and unless you know for certain that you marked a wrong answer. Don't change them. Good luck!!
  20. I have yet to come across a surgeon that I like. I work as a secretary while in nursing school and I can tell you most definitely I will not be working in a surgical practice.
  21. Just for your own good, double check the BSN program. I know someone that's an RN and working towards her BSN now. She has had to take all the BSN requirements that she hadn't taken. I personally love psych. I've pretty much taken all the courses that are offered at my CC so I understand the desire to take the class.:-)
  22. If you are planning on continuing for a BSN you'll need chemistry. If you plan on taking it though, check with the BSN programs around you to make sure the CC chemistry will transfer. Don't worry about the TEAS. If you go through the study guide it'll help you with the chemistry questions (and the others as well). Also, check your course requirements. In order for me to take developmental psych, I had to take general psych first. Good Luck!
  23. I'm a dansko girl thru and thru, but they are expensive. You can also try Footprints. Shoes: Birkenstock, Birki, Footprints, Dansko, Keen, Sanita, Papillio, Chaco, Cydwoq, Finn Comfort.
  24. Hey! I'm in RI and have applied to BCC. Was thinking about trying CCRI and UMass Dartmouth. Any other suggestions?

I'm taking intro to nutrition this semester. It was a toss up between that and human reproduction. I'm in the same boat. I was a lot younger when I first took classes so I wasn't as focused and my grades suffered.
