  1. does South list a graduation rate for the program? When I got my FAFSA approval, it listed all the rates for the schools I applied to and had South at 9%. Surely this isnt true
  2. where did you hear that Vanderbilt is approved? And South Alabama is still pending approval. I just talked to them 2 weeks ago
  3. I have been talking to South for the past week. My only concern is that it is a regionally accredited school, not nationally accredited. So I would be limited to the states that would accept the education for employment. Has employment been an issue for graduates? The accepted 18 credits from my MSN and said I could complete a post masters FNP in less than a year.
  4. I am in the same boat. Several schools are in the process of getting approved (they are on lhe list of approved schools but have not actually been approved yet) but say it is taking forever to get the approval. Right now, for an advanced degree online your options are Duke, UNCW, Georgetown and South
  5. South Alabama is still waiting for approval :-/ I have applications in with Duke, UNCW and UNC. Now we wait
  6. I too am curious about the post masters FNP
  7. I spoke to them 2 weeks ago and they said they are still waiting for approval :-/
  8. [h=3]State Authorization: North Carolina[/h] The University of South Carolina has submitted a Letter of Intent, and is completing the state authorization application for programs in which students pursue experiential learning opportunities in North Carolina. Students may enroll in programs via distance delivery. Neither online/distance nor traditional students are authorized to engage in experiential learning coursework (internships, practica, clinicals, and fieldwork) located in the state of North Carolina
  9. who would I contact about listings on here? I see that South Alabama is on the list, yet I contacted them 2 weeks ago and they told me that they are not approved.
  10. I only see business administration for south carolina (?)
  11. I am in the process of applying for a post masters FNP, I currently have my MSN and have been a paramedic for over 20 years. I attended an accelerated bridge program to get my MSN, so the online classes dont bother me. I worked ft as a medic while attending MSN classes full time (brick and mortar school). Is there a list of the class schedule online or do they not give you that until you finalize enrollment?
  12. ECU no longer offers FNP and South Alabama is not working with NC. I have looked into both options
  13. I am looking to apply to FNP, then acute care NP. I have my MSN, and need a post masters certificate
  14. I am looking to apply to FNP, then acute care NP
  15. As it stands right now the only schools you can apply to are Duke, UNCW, Southeastern, Frontier and South. There are MANY reputable schools that have online programs that NC will not approve
  16. what is up with NC not working with online schools for advanced degrees? I am looking at schools for a post masters certificate and the options are incredibly limited. I worked FT as a paramedic while atteding MSN school ft and would like to work in nursing ft while getting my certificate.
  17. I too wil be applying. I am currently out of state but will be moving to NC. Trying to figure out which address is best to use. I didnt realize there were so few schools that I could apply to (online) once I moved to NC
  18. keep in mind, UNC has many satellite hospitals. Depending on what area you want to get into you may have better luck getting employment there
  19. finally got in touch with a person. The background check showed a "residence" from 10 yrs ago that I hadnt listed. The application states 8 yrs, so not sure why this was an issue.
  20. how long does it generally take to get NC endorsement? I am still waiting for a temp license number. I applied and submitted payment the 2nd week of December, Have called several times and get the runaround. I have accepted a job pending the license.
  21. definitely do a thank you letter. That is your last chance to let the interviewer know that you appreciate their time and are sincerely interested in the position
  22. market in the raleigh area is strong especially if you are willing to look at satellite hosp
  23. Where I am you can apply if you have less than 1 yr nursing experience. Have you considered relocating since the market is so saturated in CA?
  24. children learn from our actions more than we realize. For him to see you studying and seeing that you accomplished a sought after goal will go far. Even tho he is young, he will remember.
  25. All of the interviews are for ER RN positions. All in a 50 mile radius all have spoken to me at length on the phone and ask me to come I. For a walk they, then ask where else I have applied. And have stated reasons why theirs would be the better choice of employment
