Feeling so defeated
i'm going through the same thing minus the marriage, kids, and sick mom (sry bout that). everyone wants to feel like they belong, and it hurts when they don't. all i can say is keep being awesome and don't let what others think about u affect you too much. on top of studying, classes, and family, it would definitely be worth while to pick up a hobby that you're into. the gym is also a good place to be. i also agree with a lot of what these other posters are saying. the situation is only temporary. i'm sure u'll do fine in the long run. best of luck. sending good vibes.

Best way to study for Pharmacology?

that quick escalation though. to clarify, the reason for me wanting to engage in tuck action is due to the fact that 1) my shoes are made for eating tucks 2) it's just a style. plus, the tuck won't really be major. i kind of see it like choosing what color scrubs you wanna wear -a matter of personal preference. excuse me if the dude/dudette thing offended u lol. i am what i came from lol. there's no changing that.

Need advice?
wow, mad respect for what you're going thru. ur instructor is prob being a huge b because 1) she can and is or 2) she's trying to prepare u for the real world. sending good vibes to you. really hope u stick it out.

well the shoes that i got are hi-tops, so the natural thing for me to do would be to tuck them scrubs in. simply put, i guess it's just a form of self stylespression.

Anyone doing well 1st semester?
haven't had a test yet, but i'll soon see whether or not my studying habits r up to par. i've come to realize that comparing grades w/ others isn't healthy. either u or the other party ends up feeling like trash. my goal is to do the best that i can do and realize that a poor grade isn't the end of the world, but indicative of a need to improve my studying habits. sigh. a lot of stress. but brah, i guess there's no gain if u ain't in pain. nahmean. haha. ha. ha. dayum.

regret the nursing school i choose to attend. do you???
i feel your pain. the amount of reading n assignments that's being heaped on my classmates n i is ridiculous. you really do need to go to class having read the assigned material -that is, if you want to understand what the prof is saying. my arts degree friends are smokin pot n drinking almost every day of the week while i'm stuck with my butt in this damn chair. we are, however, in professional programs that'll land us jobs in the very field that we are studying. don't mean to sound like an orifice, but most of the dudes that are slacking now will prob find life real hard after uni. you've made it this far n i don't think u should quit. if ur school/profs are really bothering u, i would recommend that you look into transferring. a bsn degree is more sought after (at least that's what i've read), but an rn is an rn i guess. best of luck.

sup dudes n dudettes, the nursing school struggle is real. so much reading to do, but i'm trying to stay positive n picture what it'll be like to finally be an rn. anyway, got a practical coming up soon n i'm planning on tucking my scrub pants into my shoes. i'm prob gonna do it regardless of what y'all say (lol), but i'm curious as to what your opinions are on the subject. study hard. peace.
