  1. I had clinicals in a rehab facility with about 50 patients and all meds were from pixis, although the average patient only had around 5-6 meds. It's possible. It will take some time to get used to for sure and at first there will be a lot of waiting/late meds but once everyone gets used to it, it shouldn't be too bad.
  2. I know in my state, PA, they have verified carpool groups that might be able to get you to destination faster than a bus. That may be an option for you.
  3. No offense to any of the long term cna'a out there, but are you joking? Have you seen what those people put up with every single day they work? Do you think when you are 55-65 you are going to want to do heavy lifting/ make you sweat work every single day? I was a cna for 3 years and near the end of that time I was just about burnt out. Stick out your RN if you want to pursue nursing.
  4. I'm not sure how your agency works but with mine, for whatever reason if I don't feel comfortable at an assignment, I can say I don't want to go back. No questions asked. Sometimes certain people just aren't compatible with others.
  5. Does anyone know where I could find a list of the most commonly used meds in long term care or have a list themselves? I need to brush up on them. Thanks!
  6. It also depends on how much you need to study personally. I was able to do very well with not a lot of studying but classmates of mine had to study 4-5 hours a night.
  7. I was in home health care as a cna doing private duty while I was in school. I found it gave me time to study at work and continue to work. This may not be the case for all hh shifts but over 3 years of doing that I found the majority allowed for at least some study time.
  8. Thanks for the info. I think I might as well stick with the first option just because who knows 10-15 years down the line what my future will hold for me. Why does CA have to be so difficult?
  9. Yeah I was looking at that as well. I was also looking at getting residency in CA and going to school there because it seems much cheaper.
  10. Ok thanks for the info. Why do they have to be so difficult?!? Lol
  11. I am currently an LPN seeking information on my options for pursing my RN online. I live in PA right now but plan on moving to CA in the next few years. Could someone give me some advice? Thank you
  12. Is it worth it to attempt to get a dialysis job as an lpn? What is the outlook for the position? How much could I expect in the PA and then Salinas area of CA in the future? Thanks!
